Once again another Porsche 911 finds its way into the one of the finest detailing hands in the world ; this time it`s a Guards Red GT3.
Three things strike me in particular about this car:
1) The center-mounter tach in the dash instrument cluster. (LOVE this particular dash pic with the gauges all lit up for display!!)
2) The huge rear wing
3) The lack of exterior striping or decals that denote it is a GT3, one insignia badge in the back and four on the locking wheel hub nuts.
No need to "announce" that; the color, purposeful rear wing, and wheels ALL contribute to the fact this car screams performance.

Sizzle Chest:
You are probably the ONLY Autopian who would know this: Are all the Porsche center-locking nuts the same on all production models of Porsche vehicles that use them?? I assume the true racing models use a "different" center locking hub nuts that comply with rules per that racing series that they are in OR special editions like the GT OR special purpose-built one-off models for endurance or track records have their own type of hub locking nut.

Also, how would you describe the "Guards Red" hue? How does it compare with a Corvette Torch Red or an Ferrari/Alfa-Romeo Rossa-Corsa Red or Mercedes-Benz Jupiter Red??

Yes, the modern center lock wheels utilize the same `hub`. GTS, GT3, GT3RS, GT2RS-all the same.

I am not sure about a true race car centerlock, as they may be different. I can only hope that I get to find out first hand one day!


Guards red is similar to Rosso Corsa. Torch red may be right in there too. Not familiar with Jupiter.
