2017 Toyota Tacoma - A Miracle Detailing - Cquartz Professional

There was some type of funk all over the paint (hood, roof, etc.)
He stated to me "It was parked under a tree for a few years."
It had a look like oxidized paint, but I was not sure what it was.
After a deep wash/cleaning and decontamination, it was still there.
A light polishing and it cleared right up. Something was on the paint.

The paint color was unusual - It is called Quicksand.

After trying a few different pad/products combinations
A two-step process pad/compound/polishing worked great.
NOTE: Every paint is different - Always test first.

Correction:
Machine: Rupes 21 with a 5" backing plate.
Compounds: The Last Cut Compounding Glaze
Pads: RUPES Yellow Fine Foam Pad - 5"

Polishing:
Machine: Rupes 15 with a 5" backing plate.
Compounds: Scholl Concepts S30+ Nano Compound
Pads: CarPro Gloss Pad - 5"

Last Step Products:
Cquartz Professional on paint and wheels
Scholl Concepts SLIME Tire Dressing on tires.
CQuartz Dlux Plastic & Wheel Coat on black trim.

This type of job is 2 people 2-4 days

Average time for this job...

Day 1 - Deep cleaning, wheels, wheel wells, engine bay and 2 step (chemical/mechanical - IronX/clay) paint decon.
* If I get the hood polished (test spot/products etc.) by the end of the first day I`m on pretty much on schedule.

Day 2 - Paint correction/polish the sides, doors, fenders, bumpers, roof etc. (complete the polishing step(s) if possible)

Day 3 - Completion of areas not finished on day 2 then, total "clean room" strip/wipe down and install ceramic coating.

Again, the time is dependent on the type of paint and the condition of the paint.
For a "show car finish" vs. a "better than showroom new" it takes a few days longer.

Yes, whatever the "funk" was that was on the horizontal surfaces only removed with polishing.
It turned out brilliant when done.

Boy that a lot of work- looks REALLY good. I take it you get 100% of the correction with the orbitals?? Never any rotary work?

Now none of that is including the interior-- right?

If I lived in your area I would love to drop off one of mine for you to do-- sadly though I am about 5 hrs away

I use a rotary. I have a couple of them. Sometimes (more often recently) I use the "least aggressive method first". To me that`s a DA...
