    Re: 2019 Blazer RS AWD

Nice Blazer. Great work. Heard they have a following already. Was told they drive like a Camaro in SUV forum.

Thanks. I have not driven the latest platform of the Camaro but the Blazer does drive nice. The selectable drive modes is a nice feature.

    Guz:
Any idea how the water spot etching occurred in the first place?? Was it from your California acid rain (environmental) OR was it from the necessary residential or golf course or agricultural irrigation systems prevalent in your area? Would your coating this vehicle when it was brand new have prevented this from happening?
I ask because there is still this notion that new vehicle paints need to "cure fully" for 30 days after rolling off the assembly line and it should not be waxed or sealed in that time-frame. By the way, I would venture to guess MOST new vehicles on the dealer lot are older than 30 days after assembly anyway, UNLESS they are the first new model introduction for that production year.

Also, was there a lot of "orange peel" in the paint finish on this Blazer before correction? Or was this mitigated during the compounding process? Photos do not show this sometimes.

Probably from the tree it is parked under as it was only prevalent on the hood, front of the roof and a couple spots on the mirror.

They bought this in May of this year. I can`t recall if it rained during that month. June through middle of October there was no rain but rather warm weather and even hotter in October. I doubt it is from a sprinkler as it would have been on the side of it rather than the top.

Probably would have etched through the coating if the spots were left there long enough.

New car paint can be protected right away. The 30 days does not apply to them as the baking process is not the same as a fresh paint job.

Orange peel looked normal. Nothing to absurd that stood out to me.
