WOW that is great work !! If you dont mind, What chrome Polish did you use ? The chrome looks great. I noticed you did a great job on the pin striping orange/red. Did you treat the striping any different in regards to aggressiveness of the polish used ? Thanx for any help.

Thank you! Sorry, I forgot to put that in my list of stuff used, I was using a beta test metal polish. I also followed that up with Perfecting cream on a finishing pad.

As far as the striping, I wasn`t as aggressive in those areas as the plain black paint. I attempted to get a PTG reading on the pinstripes, but they were too thin and I couldn`t get an accurate reading.

    Thanks again!

Great job as usual! I’m super impressed at you being able to remove the pitting and scratches out of the chrome. I’ve never seen that done before. Amazing!

Thanks Dave, yeah, has a few years and miles on it!

rl: Thank you! Most of that was just surface imperfections/very minor, that`s the only reason I was able to achieve those results. Chrome is tough to deal with as you know!

That Bad Boy cleaned up awesome! Great work and write up and pictures as always Scott!

Have been thinking on offering a friend of mine to clean and polishing and protecting his Harley Davidson Speedster. It has a ton of chrome and a nice blue metallic paint. He don`t drive it much as he has some motorcycles. But would be nice for him to just use a WW when he decides to take it for a ride.

Where you can not use a polisher on the paint and the chrome what do you use when you polishing those places? A mf towel or mf applicator sponge or foam applicator?

Amazing job on this one Scott!

Thanks Tony! Yes, you must do it by hand, and I use a small 1-2" foam pad in order to reach in there.

    Sizzle Chest:
I am truly amazed (dumbfounded, to be precise) at how you perfected the chrome on this Harley-Davidson Bad Boy.
Whoever you are beta-testing this chrome polish for, tell them to get it to market as-soon-as-possible (or at least by April 2020, in time for the start of the bike season in the Upper Midwest).
Living in Wisconsin where H-Ds are made, there are literally tens of thousands of HD owners in WI (The Harley-Davidson Owner`s Group, or HOG) who NEED this chrome polish for their motorbikes and the amount of chrome that is associated with them.
I also note that you used Griot`s Garage Perfecting Cream AFTER using this beta-tested polish on them and, I assume, used the 22ple VM/1 as the coating/LSP for protecting the chrome. Was this coating applied to the exhaust pipes, as I assume it might burn off when the engine/bike is ran for some time?? When you say 1" and 2" foam pads, who is the pad manufacturer(s) and what is the foam type/color(s) that you used with the beta-polish and the GG Perfecting Cream?? (I can see you beta-testing some hook-and-loop (Velcro) finger-tip ringlets/covers/gloves for hand-use with these smaller pads! OR just finger-tip foam pads by themselves! Good idea? Yes, I know; "Invent one, Captain Obvious.") Thanks for giving us Autopians some details of your methodologies for chrome. Getting chrome "corrected", as you alluded to, is a real nightmare for many detailers (at least for me!).

I am also amazed at how well the leather cleaned up with the McKee`s Leather All-in-One (AIO). Most bike leather gets pretty dirty and dried-out from so much extreme exposure to the outside elements. Do you have a personal preference on leather-care products and methodology for taking care of such leather on bikes OR convertible cars with leather? I do know that the (one) motor-cycle I have cleaned, the owner was adamant about NOT making the seat "slippery", for obvious reasons!

Excellent results and the photo outside on the driveway of your home and garage looks like it belongs there. Then again, I say that about EVERY vehicle you detail.

Can’t wait to hear more about this chrome polish too! I bet it would be great for Cadillacs.
Treat it like it`s the only one in the world.
