For a fifteen-year-old vehicle, it was in pretty good shape.
Yes, there were swirls, etc. but I have seen a lot worse.
After trying a few different pad/products combinations
A two-step process pad/compound/polishing worked great.
NOTE: Every paint is different - Always test first.

Funny you say this, "NOTE: Every paint is different - Always test first." - On my last car, I did the usual test spot. Several. Settled on one. Next panel I did....it required a different combo! That car was a pain. In the end, I think I tried 7 or so combos. It was a respray and I guess the body shop wasn`t very consistent in their work.
Question: The CarPro Gloss pad. Do you find it has some "polishing" ability like a typical white polish pad? or is it more on the softer finishing side?

I`ve had a few of those...every panel is different. (sigh)
IMHO the CarPro Gloss pad is on the softer finishing side.
