    2018 ZL1/1LE Camaro

    2018 Chevy Camaro ZL1/1LE
    Nightfall grey metallic.
    4623 miles
    6.2 liter LT4 Supercharged V8
    650HP/650TQ
This one has been modified, pulley, tune, intake, exhaust: Over 700HP to the wheels.
    6 speed manual transmission
    0-60 3.6 seconds
    ¼ mile: 11.5 at 125mph
This thing is a handling monster!
7:16.03 lap around Nordschleife at Nurburgring. Incredible!

This is a new client of mine. Found me through Instagram. This is the first of a few vehicles he is going to have me do.
This is a recent purchase and the intent is to turn it into more of a monster than it already is. He wants 1,000HP to the wheels. It’s going in soon for a major engine overhaul: Heads, cam, Whipple supercharger, E85, etc. I’m looking forward to seeing it/hearing it when it’s completed!
Vehicle was not in terrible shape. Your average swirls and marring. Correction and protection was on order.

    The ‘details’:

    Blackfire shampoo.
    Griot’s medium mitt.
    Adam’s wheel cleaner.
    Master blaster to dry.
    DeFelsko PTG.
    Scangrip lighting.
    Rupes MkIII 15.
    Rupes iBrid.
    Rupes Mini.
    Misc. foam, MF pads.
    Griot’s perfecting cream.
Griot’s fast correcting cream for spot correction.
Optimum paint prep for final wipe down.
    22ple Mistico Elemento Forte LSP.
    Adam’s wheel coating for calipers.
    HD Dress tire dressing.
    Ranger Quickjack lift system.
    Matco torque wrench.
    McKee’s37 glass cleaner.
    Adam’s Interior detailer.
    Metro vacuum.

    Thanks for looking!

    He wanted the stickers removed:

    CF readings:

    Defects in the CF:

    More defects:

    CF after:

    Some heavy scratches/chips/defects:

After: leveled all by the heaviest out pretty well:

Some of those pics of the front end outside your residence/shop looks like Darth Vader has arrived! (Blazer, I am your Father!)

How do you treat/detail the carbon fiber pieces/trim? Just curious, because you see ALOT more of that on the vehicles you detail than the "pedestrian daily drivers" most of us detail.

Also those Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tires look pretty "scuffed" (AKA worn) for only 4,600 miles on them. Then again, they ARE a "DOT-street legal" racing tire, or as close as possible to a racing tire that a manufacturer can put on a new "performance" car sold to the public. Cannot fathom how WIDE they are until you put a scale/ruler on them to give some measurable perspective value to it. At least it still has lug nuts and not a center-locking nut, although you DID mention a Matco torque wrench! Is there a manufacturer`s lug nut installation/tightening sequence and torque value that you had to follow??

As usual, thanks again for posting the pics of this "unique" performance car and your exquisite detailing abilities.

As long as it`s cleared, treat it just like paint. Always take readings first, a lot of it is on the `thin` side.

Yes, there is a torque sequence and torque spec for the lugs. These were tightened to 140ft lbs.

Thanks again and you are most welcome, glad you enjoyed them!

Beautiful work SC. Nice car but you know me I’d probably need to lose the wing.

Any of Michelin`s Cup tires don`t last much more than 8k miles, in good cases. Those tires actually look really good for 4,600miles (car isn`t being driven hard enough). Good luck getting that kind of mileage on a mide-engine or rear engine car. Ha

Scott, what an outstanding result!!! Monster of a production track car...the aero looks right even if you are not a fan of it.
