2009 Shelby GT500 full coating job.

Had a new client come in with his beautiful 6k mile 2009 GT500. After a thorough consult with him we decided on a full on coating package with correction work.

Prep- Hyper wash, Nanoskin fine towel

Wheels- wheels off service. Wheels removed, prepped with Mckees foaming wheel cleaner gel, IGL Precoat. Sprayed with IGL Eclipse using my new Iwata Lph80 spray gun. Also prepped and sprayed the wheel liners and calipers.

Trim- Prepped and sprayed with IGL Eclipse.

Correction- Some areas were hit with Fast correcting cream and microfiber cutting pad on my Mark ll 21. Most were done with Fast correcting cream and yellow BS pad on my 21 Mark ll. Also used my swirl killer mini.

Finish polish- Mark ll 21/swirl killer mini- Mckees fast polish and Mckees black foam finish pad

LSP- IGL Kenzo premium 4 year coating

Must be a love/hate emotion for someone who OWNS a Chevy Camaro to do such great work on Ford Mustang.

Since when did McKee`s start selling black foam finishing pads?? How do they compare to other pads (if they do sell them)?

Awesome!, so clear. How do you find the mini swirl killer to be? Does it overheat on you? Can’t decide between that and the Rupes mini. What speed do you use it on? Thanks

Not a pro but bought the mini to go along with my boss g15. With sales and bonuses (free pads and gift cards from AG). Got both for price of Rupes mini so figured why not.

I had no problems with it and once I got use to smaller diameter pad and figured out technique, it was great. Very little issues with stalling. Used to do whole front bumper and no issues with overheating. Barely warm at best l.
