    Ferrari 612 scalletti wearing Modesta

Long time client with this recent purchase needed some love. Unfortunately he wasn’t told that the rear bumper had been re painted and not very well. Also it had the famous sticky black interior pieces. Cutting done in 2 steps with Griot’s correction cream on a microfiber pad, fast correction cream was tried but was difficult to remove as it was just to aggressive. Polishing and refining done with Griot’s perfecting cream on a yellow perfecting pad and a black finishing pad. Modesta Primer applied and left over night to cure.paint coated with Modesta BC04, glad with glassparency, trim with Modesta trim coating.tires with Nanolex tire.Final wipe down with Modesta M1. Thank you for looking!

Beautiful paint...now that you touched it! Very well done. Did you handle the infamous sticky buttons for him as well?

Thanks guys! No, the interior is being sent out to a company that does that. That pad is now on its way to the dump LOL!

OK , Mike (and/ or Sizzle Chest):
Would you explain what "the infamous sticky buttons" are in the interior of a Ferrari and why that is a "concern" to a detailer?
(Not like I am EVER going to detail a Ferrari, let along SEE one in person and up close like this this one in this thread!!)

Is this blue metallic the Blu Abu Dhabi Metallic or the Blu Tour De France Metallic or Blu Mirabeau Metallic exterior color? (Yes, I looked it up on the internet because I do not know Ferrari color names by heart.) What ever it is, it sure is one of the prettiest "blue" hues I have ever seen, since I am (very) partial to true blue hues on a vehicle.

I know that when I asked you before what the neighbors think about seeing these exotic vehicles at your place, and you stated that they have gotten used to it.
Still cannot imaging what goes through their head and ears when you start up one of those vehicles, especially a Ferrari and its unique engine sound. I trust you do not rev the engine "too much".

Now that spring is somewhat here in Northeast Wisconsin, the Crotch Rockets and Harley-Davidson motorcycles "sounds" are an integral and ubiquitous announcement of spring, like geese, robins, and sandhill cranes. Those Crotch rockets sound like F1 cars, only louder. And H-Ds? There is a reason that sound is patented (or so they thought until Victory bikes came along!). Funny, we have a vehicle noise ordinance in the city of Green Bay and H-D bikes are seemingly immune to its enforcement, maybe because they are made in Wisconsin or police just know they are loud from the factory, since their own fleet of police motorcycles are H-Ds. Never bite the hand that feeds you! But I digress....

The black soft touch trim over a period of time becomes sticky as it degrades. Used to see it on 90’s era Volvo and bmw. At first you can clean it with 70% alcohol, but as it goes along, it needs to be re done. 2 companies do this, sticky RX and sticky no more.

Absolutely knocked it out of the park!!! Great work!

Yes, I know the "Sicky Buttons" and I do not go there.
BTW - What are the red/black microfiber pads you use?

Yep. If you’re ever in an older BMW, Volvo, or Ferrari and see that the white lettering is missing on some of the controls, it’s because these switchgear have been removed and soaked in alcohol or acetone, taking them down to bare black plastic, which is preferable to the “sticky buttons” but obviously not ideal. Also common on Porsche as late as 2008 around the climate controls, especially in hot climates.
