Think I kind of addressed the Locker end of this question in my “strip first but still streetable” comment. Lockers are most definitely a compromise on a daily street driven car but are certainly a good option for driving straight lines with some frequency.

Side note here: Many of the factory Electronic Locking Differentials available as original equipment today are set up to unlock after a given mph/rpm is achieved. The one in my F150 unlocks at about 45 mph and then resets when you drop below that speed. Some guys race’em but they’re really designed for out in the dirt low speed use. The people I know that are really racing these trucks wire them so that they are not computer controlled.

GearHead1- Guess I don`t think about strip-oriented vehicles being used on the street much. That ability to rewire the electronic ones sounds good, I`m a bit surprised they don`t come with a manual override, at least for UNlocking them.
