Re do of a camaro done by the best!

New client referred to us by our PPF guy. This car was “detailed “ by another company 3 months ago. The website says the detailer is known area wide as the best, and a black paint specialist? Now , the client has been dealing with this company a long time and told them he wanted it detailed. I didn’t ask what he paid, but he said they put the top of the line Sealant on it. So after washing and using a clay bar and cleaning all the leftover Sealant out of the cracks and stripe edges, we got down to making it better. I apologize fo the pictures, but it was a tough color to capture all the defects but you’ll get the picture. Cutting done in 2 steps on the top surface with Griot’s fast correction cream on a microfiber pad using the 15 at 3.5-4. The sides only needed 1 cutting step. Refined with Griot’s perfecting cream on a black finishing pad and finished with Modesta Primer on a black finishing pad. Paint coated with BC04, wheels with BC06 using the airbrush, trim with Modesta trim coating, and glass with glassparency. Tires finished with IGL. Thank you for looking!

Beautiful. That other “detailer” should be ashamed. How do you like the GlassParency stuff?

WOW once again ASWOME !!!,,, Hope you dont mind a question. The darker hood strip between the 2 orange strips that looks like a satin/flat finish. How do you remove the scratches from that area without ruining the satin/flat look ? Thanks for any help.

Thanks guys! As far as glassparency, we love it! As far as the stripes, I went over them with perfecting cream on a black finishing pad very lightly. You really can’t do much with those.

[INSERT usual praise for Mikelambert`s work..]

Heh heh, you chose a good Thread Title to get me intrigued

I gather the previous "Detailer" left all that marring and that it wasn`t instilled after that...sheesh.

So I have to ask, what was the customers reaction to the proper detail of his car?

    Looks great BTW.

Re: Re do of a camaro done by the best!

As always, Mike, your detailing is truly second-to-none. It is no-so-funny what some detailers deem as being "the best". I think this client/customer understands that now. Glad to see that you are getting referrals/future work from this client, as well.

Also, cannot ignore your signature "Maryland Merlin" winter pic, even it is from the driver`s side door and there is "some" snow on the ground.

We have about 9" on the ground now here in Green Bay, WI. Good thing, because it was -22°F this morning (actual temperature, not Wind Chill Temp!) with MORE snow on the way and sub-zero temps for several days next week.
