    Nova SS

Referred to me by a pdr friend. The vehicle was absolutely hammered and owner had no desire for significant correction. We settled on an light polishing package with some wax.

I used Poorboys PwC blue on yellow pad
I then added Poorboys black hole
Final shine goes to PA Black wulfenite
The glaze and final wax were add ons I chose to do and I feel it really made a difference.

It also led to a direct referral booked a few days after the client picked up his Nova.

The paint was still very swirled but there was a noticeable improvement and the client was very happy.

PA on glass, wheels and trim

    Thanks for viewing

Nothing wrong with sticking to a clients budget and wants. Nice turnaround.

It does stink knowing that you could have really made it shine if you had the green light!

Great work and write up and pictures!

Glad you posted this. Since not many post other than über swirl free finishes. When doing some kind of correction on a vehical. Refreshing to see the gloss and depth you got on the Nova. Without 90-100% correction done on it. Often people don`t want to spend to those levels or don`t have the funds to do it. And you can still produce a high quality finish is impresive.

    Re: Nova SS

If the above results were without any correction that`s amazing! I think most end users like myself are more than happy with those results especially if it means saving a few bucks. Once of the main reasons I even wanted to start detailing myself is because I couldn`t get a detailer to even touch my car for less than $800.

    Thanks everyone.

The pics in the 1st post go before after, before after, etc.

The correction was minimal but still significant given the initial look on the vehicle.

I would have loved to go compounding away in the car but I no longer give labor away.

Owner was thrilled with results and the massive swirling pre detail didnt really bother him.

He initially just wanted a wax job but I discussed options and we arrived at a package that fit his desired budget and in the end we were both satisfied.

I made a satisfying amount for a 3/4 days work and he got a much improved ride. As mentioned in the OP I also got an immediate referral who booked for the next weekend, his dad who picked him up and asked me when he can get his car done.

Great business sense. I`m always surprised how many guys just want to get paid as much as possible as soon as possible instead of building a book of business so to speak. It`s a rarity for business men now and days who actually want to give an honest days work for an honest days pay.

It`s very hard for us to leave it that way, isn`t it? I may have had my first job like that last month. I had to keep reminding myself "one step..one step...hit it and move...one step"

I plan to post my recent job that is NOT uber swirl free. Still sorting through the pics, though.

Whoa. I really am cheap. And you`re somewhat close to me. I would have done it for much, much less! But glad you started doing it yourself! Have fun with it

    Thanks

Some money is better than no money and honestly a 1step is a much better per hour rate for me than a 2 step and or coating even with my new prices. Maybe I need to change them again, lol.

This is a monetized hobby for me away from my day job and any little bit helps these days as I have a lot of hospital bills to pay and a 1320 scat pack to save up for .
