4 month update on this combination. It has been holding up well. Gave it a decon wash and gave it a final wipe with CarPro Elixir. No signs of Gliss V1 degrading yet.

Video with update and Elixir review. Fast forward to 5:15 for Elixir

Re: 2018 Chevy Equinox Redline - New car prep with Cquartz

This will be the final update. It`s been 20 months since it was coated with Cquartz TiO2 and Gliss V1. The lease is up in 3 months and my brother will not be purchasing this or leasing it again. He is starting to look into something else.

With that said in 20 months this Cquartz combo did fairly well. It lost all of its hydrophobic properties on the roof to the point where it looked like it was unprotected paint. The sides were not performing that well. I would say about half of their life. The hood was 95% dead of hydrophobic`s. The combination of CQUK 2.0 + TiO2 did not last that long. Was dead in about a year. Overall the performance of Cquartz TiO2 + Gliss V1 was very good and did what it was supposed to do. I would recommend this combination to others.

The paint was chemically decontaminated with Meguiar`s D1801 and CarPro Tarx during the wash process. The paint was then clayed using the 22ple clay bar, which is designed to work with coatings and CarPro EcH20 as clay lube at 1:30. Paint was prepped wiped with Mother`s CMX Surface Prep (testing this product). CarPro Essence Plus on CarPro Gloss Pads was used and topped with two layers of Adams UV tracer spray coating. The surface was prep wiped after Essence Plus.

The wheels were also cleaned. The faces were polished with 3D One and coated with Gyeon CanCoat. Tires dressed with Adams Tire Shine. All trim cleaned and coated with Adams UV tracer spray coating.

Losing light but these will have to do.
