Klasse Sealant Glaze - round 2

I decided to go a 2nd round with the Klasse. This time, I decided to use a small UFO sponge applicator LIGHTLY dampened with the heavily diluted D115 mix, and only used a few drops of KSG per panel section. I applied it to the whole car and let it set up for about 2 hours. Using two clean microfibers, I lightly misted some D115 on the panel and buffed it off with one microfiber. After wiping down the whole car, I went over it with the second MF, buffing off what little residue was left. It turned out much better than the last time.

    Here are the pics:

Re: Klasse Sealant Glaze - round 2

Today, after about 24 hours curing time, I added a second coat of KSG (I don`t count what I did two weeks ago, applying it with the PC since I think I `washed` the KSG off using so much watered sown D115 to remove it - my fault).

This time, I didn`t feel any "drag" as I applied the 2nd coat and I only waited an hour before buffing the haze off - which came off MUCH easier than yesterday`s `initial coat.` It also required almost no D115 to remove the haze-only in the most heavily applied areas and even then, I just misted a very minimal amount of D115 on the heavy areas only. I would say that over 90% of the haze just wiped right off with no drama.

*I* can`t tell if coat #2 made a difference appearance-wise, but I`ll take a closer look tomorrow morning in the sun after this coat has had 24 hours to cure. I believe that products like this take a day or so before they reach their appearance peak.

I got some klasse a few years back used it like 2-4 times and haven`t used it since due to the cure time and work that goes into it. Only cause I`m not gonna keep a customer car that long unless it`s a coating

Don- Sounds like you`re getting dialed-in on the KSG

Yeah, a few drops per panel oughta be *plenty* since it`s not a big vehicle.

Looks nice! Quick thought about the cure time - when I`ve used KSG In the past, I just used the wipe on/wipe off method. It produced deep, shiny results... Especially on black.

    1. Take a terry covered foam applicator and spray it with water.

I initially recommended spraying the applicatior with a non-carnuba QD or water. I`ve changed my mind about this. Just stick to good old tap water. Too many different QD`s out there that give different results.

Squeeze the applicator as much as you can so that most of the water is gone. All you should have is a slightly damp applicator. This will make the SG more pliable.

    2. Apply a couple of drops of SG to your applicator and apply it to a section of your car (1/3 of the hood, half of the roof, etc) in a front to back motion. Once you have covered the whole section with SG, immediately wipe off the residue with a DRY charisma or MF towel in a front to back motion.

    3. Repeat step 2 for every section until the whole car is done.

And my continual misunderstanding of the human language... I just reread the entire post and realized that drying time and curing time - MUCH different... Sorry for my errant post. But still, WO/WO is awesome!
