1996 BMW 318ti - Speed was the name of game

1996 BMW 318ti. 96,000 miles daily driver. Had 2.5 hours to work on the car, the owner had concert tickets that evening. The car was washed the previous day, so all major dirt was off. We agreed to do a one step - AIO polish to bring back gloss and reduce marring, little to no attention was paid to anything else. Still a lot of room for improvement, after some needed bodywork, I might be seeing this car again. Due to time limitations and condition I approached this rather uniquely.

Washed - wipe down with IPA to remove surface dust and prep surface for polishing.
    Decon - not done
Wheels - quick wipe down with Garry Dean Forever Rinseless
    Tires - Meguiars Hyperdressing
Polish - HD Speed + Griots Boss Orange Pad, Griots Boss G15 and 3 inch
Tools - Griots micofiber for polish removal and final buff

Onto the pictures - not many and not great quality. As the pictures show - the focus was to get the hood cleaned up and remove the deep water etching. Like noted above, not perfect, but significantly better.

Not bad with the time you had allotted! Hopefully it comes back to you to give it the turn around it deserves.

AOIs and BMW paint are usually not a great combo. Maybe Essence and a microfiber cutting pad. Some people say you get some hazing from a microfiber pad, but in my experience on hard BMW paint it’s not noticeable. A test spot and good lighting would be a good test. The blue might show more hazing but on light colored cars it’s not noticeable. Since Essence fills a little it should also cover up some of the hazing and Essence is durable so it won’t wash off the first time its washed.
