    2007 Porsche Turbo

    2007 Porsche Turbo
    Black/grey interior
    6spd manual, 3.6 liter, 480hp
    0-60 in 3.3 seconds, top speed 193mph
    72,664 miles

I had previously done work before for this client. This is his fun car. He tracks it regularly.

The condition of the paint was not great. It was full of swirls, scratches, some very heavy/deep scratches, marring and some scuffs.

It was decided to perform a paint correction to restore this black beauty to its previous glory and a glass coating to protect for the foreseeable future as well as for ease of maintenance. The paint readings were on the low side. 3.0-3.6mils, thin!

    The ‘details’:
    2BW with Blackfire Foam soap.
    MF chenille mitt.
    Griot’s medium clay mitt.
    Master Blaster to dry.
    Adam’s Wheel cleaner.
    Adam’s Tire and Rubber cleaner.
    Defelsko PTG.
    ScanGrip Lighting.
Flex XFE15. (died during this detail)
    Rupes 21 Mark II.
    Rupes mini.
    Rupes iBrid.
    Misc. Foam pads.
‘Beta test’ compound that I’m not at liberty to discuss at this time.
    McKee’s fast polish.
CarPro Eraser for final wipe down.
    Blackfire Glass cleaner.
    CarPro PERL for tire dressing.
    LSP: 22ple Mistico Elemento Forte.
    LSP topped with 22ple Finitura.
    Metro vacuum.
    McKee’s37 Fast interior detailer.
    Pinnacle leather cleaner.
    Pinnacle leather conditioner.

    Before/defects/etc:

After the first hit and polish:

Great work as usual. You always take great photos documenting your work.

I cannot believe you have a frunk photo and no engine shots

All joking aside, the car is awesome. That “fun” car would land me in a lot of trouble.

Love it Scott! I guess, by the results, that you were satisfied with your "mystery" compound??

As always, great results. Goals for me to work toward - become the man for the local Porshce club, get lifting system, purchase Porshe. Rinse and repeat for some Italian car club

Love your work! That coating looks like it applies easy, you can see it flash. Was it easy to wipe off? I’ve been following 911 prices for awhile and I think I would find a different car for track days. Prices have gone crazy. I keep saying that prices have to,level out sometime, but they keep appreciating. I want one bad, but so does everyone else. Sad.

^^^Thank you!!! Yes, it`s relatively easy to wipe off. I know, prices are just going up. I found it an odd choice for a `track car` as well...most people want something a bit lighter than a turbo, but it must kill it on the exits and straights with AWD and that power!
