Three Autopians battle a Ram...Pic Heavy

It was Months in planning and finally the schedules lined up.

A fellow Friend/Autopian/client/ex car club member recently purchased one sweet black truck in need of some bitter labor.

Three Autopians, well I`m not sure one has an account on here, but either way he has Autopian esque goals so that`s Autopian enough for me.

Truck, at 132k miles was destined for a new life. This is NOT a stock truck. I`ll let the owner reveal the specs if he feels like it. I think I recall something to the tune of, I cant run +800 hp with this transmission.

All I know for sure is this guy wanted Nothing to do with my Nissan Frontier 4.0 on that dirt/gravel road exiting the shop. Nismo, haha

    Kidding aside, let`s do this...

So I was packed up heavy..

Additional task at hand included installing a drivers side window motor/actuator on my 136k mile frontier which was keeping me from getting my inspection/registration up to date. Good thing I have the old crappy black car to drive

The drive was 60 miles or so to the job site for me.

25 miles out my oil pressure gauge light flashs and my oil pressure drops faster than a bottle of reload in my hands

I stopped and ended up making it to the destination. The issue still unresolved.

We gave the vehicle a rw with n914 and clayed with nanoskin red and cobra clay mitt.

Then I realized I forgot a bag. Of course.

I plugged in my led standup light and assessed the carnage.

    added centurion

removed and took these as sun was waning and coulds were not helping

Now on to the passenger side

ran out of urofibers so switched to rupes blue on the mk2 21 and left side is that, right side finished with contour on yeklow pad..color me impressed

    two step

    two step v2

    no sun today

but I did find a vid with some light outside at least, right after I removed the first layer of centurion off the drivers side and as the hood was still waiting to be removed

    Excellent work 512!

PS, 05 and 06 Frontiers are notorious for their oil pressure sensors going bad. If you`re full on oil and there`s no knocking, sensor went kaput

Nice job. I’m still scared of black. Would have taken one look and driven back the whole 60 miles with no oil pressure just to avoid that job.

    Truck looks awesome !!!

Thanks again Brandt for taking the time to teach me more and for the use of your awesome equipment and products. I couldn’t be any happier with the way my truck turned out.

thank you and thanks for the heads up. I hope that`s what it is. I love this little truck and it has to last a few more years so I can continue all these dang coating tests on it.

thanks ... seats: no, to be honest we didn`t even touch the roof, the fenders, and Trey did a quick RW wipedown on the wheels- I brought palladium but we pretty much exhausted our energy and three guys worked a solid 8 hours each on the truck to get it where it is in these pics...I think this would be a solid 30 hour job if not more. didn`t touch the tires, shop was down a dirt/gravel road and it had been sprinkling all day

thanks. I was happy the combo worked out well for us, I was thinking initially we may need three steps prior to lsp.
