    207 Challenger Hellcat

****Having some trouble with photobucket (like everyone else) so I am limited on the number of after/completed shots I could post****

    2017 Dodge Challenger Hellcat
Green Go, auto trans, 106 miles
A client of mine just picked this green monster up! He wanted the paint corrected and ceramic coated. The vehicle was delivered to him from the dealer earlier this week. He dropped it off to me on Thursday…picked it up today!
At first glance: it’s a brand new car. It won’t need much. Well, it was covered in minor swirls and had some deeper defects as well. The trunk carpet had some staining on it from tire dressing-the dealer installed Nitto drag radial tires on the rear and the factory tires were placed in the trunk for shipping-the dressing they used stained the carpet.

The defects were difficult to capture on camera with this color.

Process: Waterless wash. Clay. Corrected. Ceramic coated. Wheels pulled, cleaned, clayed, coated. Calipers cleaned and coated. Tires cleaned and dressed. Wheel wells cleaned and coated. Interior lightly cleaned, vacuumed and the leather and trim was coated. Glass cleaned. Sun check, final wipe down, deliver to client!

    Tools/machines/chemicals/etc:
    Rupes Mark II 21
    Rupes 3”
    Rupes iBrid
Medium cut foam and Heavy cut MF pads were used.
Griots fast correcting cream. Griots finishing polish.
    Griots medium clay mitt.
    Adam’s shampoo.
    Adam’s APC.
    Kenotek vinyl/leather for tire dressing.
    Eraser for wipe down.
    Various MF towels.
    Metro Master Blaster and Vacuum.
    Wheel wells coated with Dlux.
    Calipers coated with 22ple.
    Wheels coated with 22ple.
    Paint coated with 22ple.
    Trim coated with 22ple.
Adam’s glass cleaner and dedicated MF towels.
Interior protected with Ultima Interior Guard Plus.
    Carpets coated/treated with GYEON fabric.
Engine compartment cleaned with APC and treated with Blackfire AIO tire/trim.
Trunk carpet cleaned with Adam’s carpet cleaner.

I believe that is everything! This bad kitty/green monster looks like a shiny piece of green hard candy or an M&M!!!! The gloss was really amped up and the defects were chopped down as if I were George Washington and they were a cherry tree!!!!!

    Thanks for looking!

Defects (they were very difficult to capture on camera with this color):

Good readings, IMO, for a new car:

Awesome car, I love when you pros get brand new cars to work on. That is the biggest testament to how good of quality work you and others perform.

    Great work, photos, and documentation.

I wonder why Dodge doesn`t at least paint the rear rotor hat to match the cool front two piece rotor. Cause it really matters

Awesome job. Love that color. I bet your rentas needed some rest after focusing on that paint during polishig and coating it to perfection !

How do you choose the coating you use on a vehicle or is it a customers request?

How did you handle the stripes from a cleaning, polishing and coating standpoint ?

Did you 22ple the plastic wheel well liners also? They look great.

Thanks for posting such detailed photos and process pics

LED: You know, it really would finish it off nicely if they did that! Thanks for the comments!

JSF: Yes, wells were 22ple`d as well. I make the coating recommendation. Stripes were in great shape so they didn`t need any `work`, but I`ve lightly polished them before with no ill effects. These were waterless washed, taped off during correction and then coated just like the paint. I informed my client that it may darken them, but he was more interested in protection than a little more shiny stripe than the factory matte look.

And...Thank you to everyone else who has commented!
