Re: Mobile Detail - Black Honda Civic

Like your front side, you`re right about the back photos being too small. Maybe pick one good reflection shot and place it on the back. Make the one photo a background to your, mobile, insured and LLC. I like that Ferrari you posted the YouTube video of. Let the customer know what you are able to do through one good photo of your work.

I would need to keep a check list of all the supplies I need for mobile details. Knowing me I`d always forget something small and not obvious like masking tape or extension cords.

Thanks, maybe I`ll share some rough drafts. I actually made a few different designs to hand out to specific customers. For example I made one to target parents with kids (highlighting interior detailing) and another targeting paint correction and new cars.

For the most part, I think I bring too much. I`m going to force myself to consolidate what I`m bringing next time.

If Just Jesus and I are able to load up in compact cars, you can definitely consolidate with your Truck. I can fit everything needed for full interior work along with multi step correction in my 4 door compact sedan, it`ll be a bit tight but I can do it. I choose not to because when it comes to actual 2-step corrections I only accept drop offs.

After realizing that pre foaming a car doesn`t really do anything(no more than pre soaking with a RW solution in a small compact pump sprayer IMO) unless it`s a coated car, I stopped bringing my PW with me until I can buy a much more compact one ,and that opened up a good chunk of space in my car.

I`m still working on how to ensure I don`t forget anything when loading up and it can be a pain because I keep finding things I need to put in my totes after I thought everything was ready. Next thing I`m going to try,is to keep all my chemicals/items in the mobile container even if they are in my garage, along with everything else all sitting in the same area, that way I know that "everything within this space is all I need" and don`t have to go around opening cabinets looking for stuff and wondering if I`ll need it or not.

It`s a coincidence that they`re on sale while I need to load up too

Ya I have plenty of room to load a huge supply, the problem is I`m bringing too much I think. And after I`m done detailing, I have to unload 4-5 containers that weigh 40-60 pounds each from the parking to my apt, then my detailing cart, then lights, vac, steamer etc etc before I can use my SUV for fun. It`d be nice if I only had 1 container. I`ve considered leaving everything from the 3rd row seats back in, but I don`t like the idea of lowering my mpg or having chemicals in the car with kids in the backseat. A trailer would be nice...

I had a similar idea, but my friend managed to talk me out of it for now. Something along the lines of, "you never know in who`s hands your card will end up in."

I had similar issues when I started. I tend to do the "better safe than sorry" and "better to have extra than not enough." Of course, over time, and experience, you can gauge what`s needed for the upcoming job. I.E., my last "job" was a clean up using an AIO, and that`s what the customer paid for. There was a spot or two I hit with some HD Polish, but that bottle is ALWAYS in one of my detailing bags. Aside from that, brought mostly white foam pads, only the machines I knew I`d use, and some Poorboys polishes. WAY much less stuff than I used to bring along.

hehe yeah. tiny cars can hold supplies!

I`d suggest making a check off list, a template type one. You can print one each time prior to a job. Check off all the items you will be needing for that particular job. There should be a section that is ALWAYS checked off ( tape, extension cord, etc)

That`s not a laughing matter, man. I bought some yesterday. I anticipate someday, I`ll try a long throw machine. Maybe. But eh, decent price on those pads, so why not.

The power is awesome and super easy to handle. I did the doors, pillars, mirrors, fenders, bumpers and quarter panels with the 75E.

While making the appointment, I let them know I need access to water and electricity which is why the Civic was left in front of the horse stable. I bring extensions cords and hoses.

    Thanks Vega.
Yea because I always wondered if a mobile generator is needed for those pro mobile detailers.
