Autodermatology had the honor and privilege of working on this beautiful Italian stallion!
2014 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, under 800 miles on the clock.
I was contacted by the owner via a reference from another customer. I went and looked at the vehicle and gave him my suggestions and a quote. He decided on a paint correction and a ceramic coating. The owner was aware of some swirls and stated that they bothered him. He scheduled an appointment.
This car is a work of art. The interior is outstanding! The body lines are also very sexy and beautiful. The exhaust note of this car is just pure audio ecstasy!
Onto the nuts and bolts:
Foam cannon with CG max suds
2BW with SCG Surface Prep Wash
Clayed with nanoskin medium wash mitt
Exhaust tips cleaned with 1Z Blitz APC
Numerous boars’ hair brushes and wash mitts were used
Wheels were cleaned with P21S wheel cleaner and numerous brushes/etc
Tires were cleaned with Tuf Shine tire cleaner and Tuf Shine brush
Master blaster used for drying.
I took paint readings and was pleased to find that this Italian beauty had plenty to work with. Average reading was about 6mils.
Test spot
Essence with a CarPro Gloss pad was tried first. I needed a little more cut but didn’t want to step up on the pad. I tried HD polish with a Megs yellow polishing disc. This was the combo!
I found that this Ferrari had very soft paint and it was easily marred.
I then got her ready for surgery with the Autodermatologist! I used about a mile of tape! LOL, I taped everything up. I Used CarPro, Adam’s and 3M tape.
The door jams, underhood area, rear hatch area, etc: all were polished and coated.
Machinery: Flex 3401, Rupes 75, Flex PE8.
Rac a tac detail creeper and a regular detail seat.
I finished up the polishing step with CarPro Essence and their Gloss pad. I felt that this amped up the gloss a little bit as well as filled in, to a degree, some of the defects that were not able to be removed.
The vehicle and trim was then coated in BEEDS Premium Ceramic Paint Treatment and Coating.
The engine was wiped down and blown out with compressed air and coated with CarPro Dlux.
The glass was cleaned with Adam’s glass cleaner and a dedicated glass microfiber towel.
The interior was given a quick wipe down with a damp microfiber and vacuumed via Metro.
The tires were dressed with CarPro PERL 100%, two coats.
It was a treat to be able to work on such a beautiful vehicle with such excellent lines as this!
I’ve got about 20+ hours into the car.
The client was blown away by the results! He said “he could see the difference” and that the car “looked different”. He could and it did! It has a beautiful corrected finish on it now! I was pleased that he noticed the results. He is a car guy through and through and really loves and enjoys his cars! It’s a pleasure having clients like this!
Thanks for looking!!

^^^See the line on the barrel of the wheel? That`s from my finger! Even though these are carbon ceramic brakes and don`t dust much...they had a ton of dust on them!
