I had the opportunity to detail this 1995 Ferrari F355 recently. The car was pretty abused as it was a previous track car, but the new owner wanted it back to condition it should be.

Here`s a few of the condition of the paint.

    A few of the interior.

And just a good indication of how dirty this thing actually was.

Foamed it down and did a two-bucket wash.

I clayed the car, dried it, taped it up, and started on correcting the paint.

    50/50 of the driver`s door.

    50/50 of the engine lid.

    Corrected scoop.

    Corrected rear quarter panel.

    50/50 of the tail lights.

    Cleaned up the exhaust tips.

Foamed it down again to remove any polishing oils.

    And for the finished product.

    Thanks for checking it out!

Did you check paint thickness on this one? If so, what tool did you use? How soft is that Ferrari 90`s paint?

I`ve been doing this on the side for a couple years.

I didn`t use one on this car. The car had never been polished, and I didn`t have to use anything too heavy to remove almost everything. However, I will be purchasing a Defelsko Positector 200 pretty soon because it can read the individual layers on the car. Also, the paint wasn`t bad at all. I would say it`s on the medium side for a single stage.

You sir know your cars. And the Ferrari is the only thing the was the customer`s. The metal 48x80` building, 37 ford, 1988 F150 with 28k miles, 53 Ford and 31 Model A (both undergoing restoration back to original) are owned by my dad. The Ranchero, and both Cyclones are my uncle`s. The only thing I own in there is a 93 MR2 Turbo which can`t be seen in the pictures.

Nice work on a great car. The 355 is still one of the best looking and sounding F-Cars.
