Well I spent my holiday weekend cleaning another boat, a 24 foot Hallett. The owner of the boat is where I should have been….on vacation, in a much bigger boat somewhere off the coast of Alaska. So I have the key to the detached garage and all the time I need to bond with my polisher.

This boat spends its life in a cozy garage so the biggest issue is water spots.

Washing the boat was a bit tricky because I couldn’t move it, not with my Audi. So, ONR to the rescue.

I tried a few polishes with a few different pads on two different polishers with pretty good results. In all I used Meg 105, Gel Coat Labs Fine Cut Polish, and Meg Ult Compund.

On the wind screen I used Poli Seal. I also used Poli Seal on the rear swim deck area because Menz Power Lock made the rest of the boat so slick I didn’t want to hurt anyone trying to climb in the back.

With the entire boat polished and cleaned, I applied two coats of Power Lock, 12 hours apart. The end result is pretty good, I think. I couldn’t move it for sun shots, but the pics are ok as is.

My main focus was the paint. But I couldn`t ignore the interior. Yes, that is a huge bean bag in the boat. It was a beast to move to while cleaning the interior, I just worked around it. To clean up the seats I use Woolite. The rest of the interior was washed down with ONR. Sorry, no interior shots, bean bag restricted. Enjoy! Thanks for reading.

Very nice! Did you tackle the bottom as well? Does not look fun to do.

Those hard water spots can be a pain if left. My boat is dry and has water spots on it as soon as I pull it out and into a spot to tie everything down.

I did not polish the bottom but I did clean the water spots off the parts I could reach. Ya, it was fun.
