This is 1969 Aston Mini Cooper. The first thing I though when I saw it for the first time was, "They`re sure are a lot of swirls in that toaster!"

How could a tiny car have so many swirls???

These swirls were deep! I decided to colorsand the the worst areas with 2000 grit sand paper.

The first thing you will notice her is that the color sanding "slurry" is red. That means that I am working on a single stage finish and NOT a two stage being color topped with a clear coat.

Notice here the nice even uniform appearance to this freshly color sanded fender.

It was awkward polishing on such a little vehicle but I managed.

Here you can see how much brighter the finish gets after a good compounding with #85.

    BEFORE-

    AFTER-

I chased the #85 / wool combo with #85 and yellow foam pad.

Its a small car but it took more work than I expected. Polishing below my knee caps didn`t help either -LOL!

She now wears her shiny red coat with pride!

My buddy Frank was very happy with the shine on his lil car!!

The bad news is that it is low and difficult to polish. The good news is that it only took me 15 minutes to detail. :LOLOL
