Detailed this for a local racing forum member. It`s a lease, and the owner apparently polished the entire car with metal polish. Basically it looks like someone rubbed sandpaper all over the car....
I had the worst hangover of my life when I started on this thing and felt like I was going to vomit all over the car every time I bent down, but luckily I got it done without my breakfast ending up on the car.
OK so enough of that...this was a single stage paintjob, and luckily the paint was pretty soft. The Flex 3401 was used for everything, but I used the PC 7424 with 3.5" PFW pads on the bumpers.
Process was as follows:
-Wash with DG 901
-Clay with new "sample" clay I`m testing, which worked quite well
-Opti-Seal on wheels, PB BnB on tires
-Meguiar`s #105 on exhaust tips
Paint correction:
-Meguiar`s #105 with yellow LC cutting pad
-Menzerna Power Finish with LC green polishing/finishing pad
-Wolfgang Fuzion Paste Wax
Power Finish works awesome, just what you would expect from Menzerna. Great working time, little to no dusting, and finished down VERY nicely. 105 didn`t leave behind any noticeable hazing, but Power Finish took the finish to the next level. Some of the deeper stuff couldn`t be taken out completely (wetsanding required), but they didn`t want it perfect - just good enough so that the dealership wouldn`t notice all the scratches all over the car.
The pictures can say the rest....
Oh, this is what the previous um, "detailer" left for me:
