A family friend was trying to sell this car for $750 with no takes. I told him I`d clean it for free, and advertise it and keep anything over $750 that he receives. I hadn`t seen the car at the time though. Ughh.......

Apparently there was a smell in the car, so he put that carpet freshener all over and left the windows down for a few weeks while it was stored outside. Then after a few rainstorms, closed the windows and left the car for another month. This is what I was left with:

    Process:

Heavy Vacuuming to Remove Carpet Freshener, Puddled Water, etc.

Soaked all Interior Plastics and Vinyls in Woolite

Spot Treat with Kids and Pets

    Oxiclean on Carpets and Seats

    Extract with LGCM

    Dress with Armor All

The exterior was just a quick bang up job to get it looking decent to sell.

    Wash W/ NXt

    Clay w/ Meguairs

    HTMC on Orange Pad

It is amazing how people can let their cars go like that. excellent work. I`d be interested in how much it will sell for now.

I am probably going to put it up for $1500 and see what happens. It runs perfectly, which is the only reason I was willing to put some time into it. Yeah, so is anyone looking for a Bonneville?

I hope you put a mask on with the interior...you could get very sick with mold inhalation. I did an RX-7 a while back with an entire interior of mold...not cool. Great job!

I actually had to drive it about two blocks while it was in that condition. Perhaps the most embarassing 5 minutes of my life.

lol... if you think THATS mold... i am going to have to work on an old VW rabbit truck that has been sitting outside for 10 years.... i have to wear a FULL respirator system when working on the interior. But i love the car.... plus it might end up as my daily driver.

    good job though.

Haha, I`m sure it could have been much worse. But there`s a difference: the owner actually drives in this car!
