Bret and I got to use Black Wow on some very oxidized rubber today and it worked out well. First though we had some amazing swirls to remove and these were from a hand wash operation!

    Process

    Z-7

Z-PC times 2 or 3 depending on panel, Mezerna PO85RD on hood (5 steps!)

    Z-6

    Z-5 Pro x 2

ZAIO on wheels and barrels plus Z-16 on tires

Black Wow on rubber whale tail and other exterior trim

Lake Country Pads, Indigo Edgless, Pakshak Ultraplush including Big Kahuna App for tires.

1Z Scheibenklar on glass, 303 Aeropspace on window trim and interior, P21S Polishing Soap on dual exhaust pipes

I wish I had some before shots on the grey rubber, the Black Wow really added much of the black back and a level of gloss or two. Pricey but effective stuff.

    Before:

Afters, polishing plus last few are final with sealent:

I think this goes without saying, but something is amiss with your pictures.

Wow, looks great!! 23 years old and still beautiful. Porsche has a timeless quality found in very few other makes.

Yes, I really love the classic shape of the 911 and the big fenders allow for some great shots. :cooleek:

Lee, Bret and yourself did a excellent job on this one. The quality of the finish makes me want to detail a black porsche soon.

Nice job! You refer to the whale tail as "rubber" but I thought Black Wow was specifically NOT supposed to be used on rubber, only on hard plastics?

I`m not sure what kind of trim the 911 had (maybe EPDM?) but the Black Wow worked wonderfully. Went from a light grey to a gloss black.

    Great restore on the Porsche!

BW is not "recommended" for use on rubber like window seals and such because they don`t absorb the BW well. It`s also not recommended on tires because it only lasts as long as the next time you drive your car.

With that in mind, there are plenty of applications that might benefit from BW and this appears to be one of them. Like anything else, you won`t know till you try it.
