I detailed this 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo on Monday, October 15th. I didn`t take any pics at that time because the battery for my digicam was dead. I took these pics on October 20th while I was out doing some photo work for an upcoming fire training program I`m working on (being a Deputy Chief.. rank does have it`s priviledges! :xyxthumbs ).

The car had sat in storage for the past three years, and had some paintwork contamination and some mildew on the cloth seating surfaces. The chipguards on the paintwork need replacement, all I could do was clean the stains off of them.

The car is all original with only 63.6K miles on the odometer!

    The Process:

    Washed with Meguiar`s Gold Class.

Tires cleaned with CAR products Maxiwhite tire cleaner.

Wheels cleaned with a separate gold class wash solution (at owner`s request)

Engine compartment cleaned with ZEP citrus Cleaner, 50/50 mix.

Clayed with Meguiar`s Blue detailing clay X 2 to remove paintwork contamination.

Buffed with Meguiar`s #80 Speed Glaze using a Sonus Swirlbuster pad.

Polished with Meguiar`s #9 Swirl remover using a Sonus polishing pad.

Sealed with Meguiar`s #21 synthetic sealant on a 3M finishing pad X 2 and topped with Collonite 845 Insulator wax by hand.

Interior was vacuumed and cleaned using ZEP Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner. Mildew removed using Arm and Hammer shower cleaner (after testing on an inconspicous spot, it worked fine, as I couldn`t get Bac-out on short notice)

Dash and door panels cleaned with Meguiar`s Interior Quick Detailer.

Stoner`s Invisible Glass and RainX on the windows.

    Meguiar`s Endurance on the tires.

    Really nice work! :up

The `86 Carrera Cabriolet I did last week also had mildew on the leather. Only 40k on that one. Must be a low mileage/rarely driven thing.
