    Nothing overly spectacular, but I think it came out nice.

    It needed some wetsanding in some spots, and the rockers and tailgate need to be repainted.

    The owner is a body tech and will do the major correction himself.

    Process:

    3M Car Wash (2 bucket)

    Pinnacle Fine Clay with 3M Car Wash

    3M Extra Cut Compound with Wool pad on rotary buffer

    3M Swirl Mark Remover with Wool/Acrylic finishing pad on rotary buffer

    Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion with dual action Porter Cable

    Race Glaze Paint Sealant with dual action Porter Cable

    3M Car Wash

    Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax by hand



    Plastic trim and tonou were treated with 303 Aerospace Protectant, and the tires with Pinnacle Black Onyx.



    Basic interior cleaning...no treatments.

    That`s a lot of truck to polish.



    2500HD`s are strong trucks. The Duramax puts it up even higher in the work and durability ratings.



    Curious, did you use the Perfect-It 3000 or Perfect-It III?

    Perfect It 3000...Great compounds if you ask me.

    You don`t even need any other products if you keep going with Ultrafina SE, and 3M Paste wax. Really great results.



    I`m a fan of Pinnacle as well though...

    Does the 3000 dust any differently than the III?



    I haven`t used the 3000 since the supplier I buy from still has III.



    If I have one complaint about III, it was that the stuff does NOT want to come out of edges and cracks. Get it in the sun or leave it for more than a few hours and it seems like glue.



    Perfect-It II was so much easier to clean.

    Since 3000 no longer uses grit in the compound, it`s all chemical, it`s SUPER easy to clean. A pressure washer with a soft tip will clean it all off!!

    You can go straight from Extra Cut to Swirl Mark Remover with perfect results.



    I made the truck look good, but in person it needs a lot of work.

    It`s never had mudflaps so the rockers are chipped to hell!!! The top of the box sides are banged up, and the tail gate has un-fixable scratches.

    It`s definately a work truck, and it gets a lot of driving, but I am happy with the results. And for only $100 the owner is damn happy too!



    I will be doing another one this weekend, only this one is black and is A LOT better shape. After that I have two more Chevy Crew-Cabs lined up, both dark grey.

    You`re on a roll with large pickups! Sounds like a fun few weekends you have lined up.



    The III would come out with a pressure washer, too, but I tend to NOT go that route when cleaning up my edges after polishing.



    So, the 3000 really is all chemical now? I`ve heard that from other people, but didn`t look into it any farther. I don`t need any new products right now, so I try not to read up too much. Gets a guy in buying spree trouble :har:
