A friend of the family asked me to give their interior a good cleanup before some of their family came to visit. I lowballed the quote figuring that they were a friend and it couldn`t be too bad... could it?

It was a 1995 Monte Carlo that hadn`t been vacuumed since the last millennium, I think. The back seats were covered in hair from a dog that passed away *4* years ago. I had to pull the seats to get at the crap under them - there was no way I was going to work around them. This is when I figured out how bad it really was:

    Process:

    Vacuum

Spray everything (jambs, plastics, seats, carpet, god only knows what else) with 5:1 Purple Power APC

    Pressure wash jambs

PC powered brush @6 on carpets and seats

    Vacuum again

Extract with LGCM and Zep Extractor shampoo

Wipe down all vinyl and plastics with 10:1 Purple Power

All vinyl and plastics got Eagle One interior dressing

After the after pictures were taken I vacuumed one more time to get anything that was in my shoes, plus I wiped the doorjambs down with AW and glass with 20:20.

That car is missing bio-hazard sticker! I wouldn`t be coming anywhere near it without wearing double gloves and breathing mask. Actually, I wouldn`t be coming anywhere near it, period.

The difference is amazing. I hope you guilt tripped them a bit for letting it get that bad

That is a great job. I haven`t had to turn one away yet, but that would get me close to doing it. Edit: I would.

Where did you get the PC brush from?

OMG! They were sitting down in there, driving?

It amazes me, people rag on us for being car neat-nuts, but will spend 1000`s of dollars on a car and not do what`s necessary to keep it nice.

That turn around is night and day, though!:2thumbs:

That thing is gross, I guess you`ll learn to quote cars on site next time. Heh heh.

Excellent work though, I would have puked at least twice doing a car like that!

Man, talk about a sinus sufferer`s nightmare:soscared: I probably would have started sneezing before I even got close to the car.:shocked I once detailed a car where a woman vomited in the car and left it there for 4 weeks before giving me a call.:nixweiss

She stated she wanted to have the money to be able to pay me. I told her not to worry about the money but in the future make sure that she got the car to me beforehand, we can work out a payment plan. After I was done with the car the carpet was discolored but clean again. It even stained the console. Who said stomach acid is not strong.

    :goodjob :hifive:

She is now a regular customer and a good marketing rep.:bounce :bounce :bounce

THAT one wins the all time nasty award without question! With the interior like that you know the engine has never seen an oil change.

Top Of The Line... I think it`s been the best 10 bucks I`ve spent on interior detailing so far, it saved me at least 45 minutes of hard labor on this job and it really got the sand and other crap out of edges and cracks.
