This vehicle had a door dent repaired by the body shop a few weeks ago. The lady was very unhappy with the repair and blamed every swirl, chip or scratch on the vehicle on them. They decided to give her a complete detail by me today.

First off, I have never done a detail on a GTO, and I find it to be the most detailer unfriendly vehicle I have ever worked on. From the faded looking interior finish, impossible (velcro like) trim material... every angle of the interior and exterior of this car makes it a royal pain in the a$$. Not to mention it was fairly scratched up and covered in swirls.

My pics where taken with my cell phone, again, though I tried to get more angles and outdoor shots.

I am proud to say that the woman was more than impressed with her detail...however, I wasnt proud of the 6 hours this small, cavalier looking vehicle took me.

These are after wash and clay.. I also had begun polishing the hood..

Interior views after..the customer did not want any shine..

    Hood shot once complete..

    Various shots once finished..

It is an old italian design. But they don`t look half bad. I would not buy one but you did a good job.

I heard the same vehicle design under another GM make has been in Australia for years.. hence the outdated look when they decided to release it as the new GTO in the US.

Hey now, my car isn`t outdated. It`s subtle and I like that about it. The GTO can be a pain to detail, but I have found a list of products that work great on my car. One good/bad thing is the clear is pretty soft. So it is very easy to remove swirls, but just as easy to put them back in.
