91 acura legend coupe 5 speed 172k miles

I am the 2nd owner, bought it in October of `05 with 161k.

The car was repainted in 97.

I have been wanting to give this car a real polishing ever since I got it and I finally got the chance.

    Wash/clay with QEW

Menzerna Power Gloss/RMG with a yellow LC pad Rotary 1500

Menzerna FPII with a white LC pad Rotary 1500

Wash entire car again to remove dust with Z7 car wash

Z6 wipe down to make sure that the surface is 100% ready for zaino

3 coats of Zaino Z2 pro w/ ZFX, Z6 used to remove each coat

    Z8

    Tires:

    Scrubbed 1:4 AM 777 APC

    3x of Zaino Z18 w/ tire swipe

Its such a PITA to shoot defects on white in the garage. The day I did the polishing it was very cloudy out.

    Before shot:

    After polishing:

Sweet-paint looks flawless and very clear. Awesome shape for a 15 year old car.

beautiful work! the best part is knowing that your "beater" has a better finish than 95% of the cars out there that are brand new!

Awesome car and an awesome shine. Glad you finally had some time to spend on the Legend. I`ll echo what others have said; there aren`t many on the road today in that kind of shape! Yours is among the cleanest 91`s I`ve ever seen. Any interior pics?

Some 16" Legend GS wheels would really set it off.

Edit: You should post those on the A-L.com forums in the gallery over there:

Thanks everyone for your kind words. She sits out at the airport 10 hours a day, 4 days a week so we shall see how long zaino will hold up.

Thanks!!! The drivers seat is cracked as the previous owner did not take care of the leather that well after having a full leather interior installed in `97. I will try and get some interior pics tomorrow.

I would love to have a set of nice wheels on the car, but I am only going to put money into the car for maintance and maybe some new tint.

Nice, I saw your post already on A-L and replied. Everyone`s gonna love your car.

PS: What do you do at the airport? Just asking b/c I`ve worked in aviation for the last few years at the SkyWest Airlines corporate office.

    Nicely done Bryan.

You always take great care and pride in your cars. They are always clean.

I`d be happy if mine were one-fourth as clean as yours.

I guess I better head to the garage and try out some of the products you gave me yesterday. :chuckle: :hifive:

Looks great! I did a white Honda about that old, came out fairly good but not as nice as yours. Now I have OP, wish I could do it again.
