hey guys!! heres the latest detail i did

this car had some SERIOUS SERIOUS swirling, and was generally filthy inside and out

the owner also dropped it off about 2 hours later than i wanted it and i finished at 1030 PM so the after pics aren`t as good as they should be - i woulda done it at his house but he had no garage space and i wasn`t about to detail in the dark

the fenderwells didnt really have anything in them except for body panelling that had been undercoated so my cleaning didn`t do much there LOL

the owner was really happy with the car and it was a huge improvement over what it was before - i really wish i coulda done a 2 stage polish - it woulda gotten the car truly glasslike - the owner just wanted a 1 stage though

anyways heres the befores and the afters - the process was my favourite optimum combos

I`m in the same boat at that law firm I`ve been detailing a bunch of cars at. I`d much rather multi-step the paint but not for free. Good thing that Optimum Polish and the white Cyclo pads worked very well on a severely swirled Honda I did there on Monday, didn`t get them all but the improvement was massive. Definitely got out all the body shop rotary holograms but only reduced the halo swirls about 85%. What are you going to do, right?

Looks like you made a considerable improvement in that Jag. What you might want to do is point out the remaining swirls and let him know that with a 2 step polishing process you can probably remove the vast majority of them. Then again, some people really don`t care as long as the paint is shiny. :nixweiss

since he wanted a 1 step i used optimum compound but used a white lake country polishing pad, hoping the the more agressive combo would help get rid of more defects and it did

this was done via PC - i know im eventually going to have to start using the rotary for serious defects, but i need to practice more with it first
