After detailing a *very* fould van on Saturday, when this showed up Sunday--I was excited!!!

The car is a 91, third owner car that has been fairly well taken care of.

The swirls were fairly severe, but I could not capture them becasue of the lack of sun. Honestly, it`s hard to see any improvement in the pics, but I figured there are some Z fans here, so why not share.

Total time 4.5 hours, the car came to me so that saved me some set up time.

    Wash

    Clay with Meguiars aggressive clay

    Dry

Apply Hi-Temp extreme cut via the rotary polisher @1500 RPMs using a wool pad

Apply Meguiars #83 via rotary polisher and a polishing pad @1000 RPM’s

Apply #80 Meguiars speed glaze via the porter cable polisher @5.5

Apply Meguiars Gold Class liquid wax (new fomula)by hand and a foam applicator

Apply Optimum polymer wax by hand with a microfiber towel.

Chrome wheels polished with NXT metal polysh

All glass was polished One Grand glass pumice via the rotary polisher and 3†spot pad @1000 RPM’s

    The interior was:

    Vac

Apply APC 10:1(Costco brand) to all carpet, seats, vinyl, etc

    Extract carpets and seats LGCM

Dress vinyl with Meguiars hyper dressing 1:1

Wipe down all interior with MF after dressing had set

The engine was degreased with MAGNUM

    Pressure washed

Dressed with Eagle One pro water based dressing 1:1

    Before:

    nO DEPTH, VERY DULL PAINT

The wheels had quite a bit of brake dust and needed to cleaned behind the spokes, I cleaned them with an acid based wheel cleaner before polishing them.

Ahh, now we have some reflection and depth!!!

Had to rely on my trustY bi-zenon light to check for swirls, they are gone.

The car looks much better! Great work. The front bumper and some elements of the interior look a little beat up (as in holes, wear & tear, and missing paint), but it is a 15 year old car after all.

Honestly, I don`t think anyone could have got that pale yellow color to look as good as you did. Really excellent work on the engine and interior too.
