Like the title states, I got my ugly black side moldings and bottom black edge painted Super Red to match the car. I also had a small dent repaird on the drivers side door.

From 7-10 feet, the car looks amazing! 5 feet and closer, and you can really see the difference in paint color and luster (hey, it`s a 12+ year old singe stage red paint job) between the new paint and the older paint.

I have plans on getting the entire car resprayed sometime next year when I`ve got the coin for it, but this`ll do for now. . .

    Here`s a before pic

    Front End

And the dent in the door on the drivers side

    Now a few afters

    rear 3/4

    front side view

    Front bottom view

I`ve got a few pics that I took that I have to upload still to my site. . .these above were taken at a meet & cruise about 3 hours after picking her up from paint. . .

I`ll post my other pics tonight when I get home and up load them. . .

    Looking really good.

I have always preferred painted over plastic trimmed.

That looks a lot better. I have to do a interior in one of those things soon. Anything to watch out for?

the interiour is deceptively large for a 2 seater. There are storage compartments behind the seats and a storage console between the seats (depending on year and option) but it`s realatively easy to do.

    NO exterior on it?

Might, but he said its in really good shape. I`ll probably offer to do a quick interior exterior upkeep.

And some taken a few hours ago, after buffing out some body shop induced swirls and fading. . .they used some heavy cleaners on the paint to get the moldings and trim "Armor all" free. . .guess using that tire gel on them wasn`t a good idea, eh?

The top half of the car was gone over with AIO using a white pad. . .I haven`t used AIO in a while, and with the white pad, I`m pleased with it`s cutting power. Alot of the swirls installed by the body shop were removed.

Sorry about the quality on some of these pics. . .taken indoors

I`ve got an extra set of OEM rims with auto-x tires that are painted gunmetal...

Unless you wanna donate $ to the "but blue-sun`s MR2 some rims" fund, they`ll have to do. . .
