What is the mileage on that car? I cannot believe how mint everything is considering the car is 31 years old.

BTW, did you ever clean the underside of the hood?

    Enduro,

Ask your parents what the color scheme was in the 70s. Gold, orange, and yellow were in.

This was an estate car that was pampered mechanically its entire life. The paint was almost flawless save for a few minor scratches. It had under 20k ORIGINAL MILES !!!

The sound proofing under the hood has been ordered.

I agree about the color being "unique", but as for 70`s and 80`s Mercedes, this is nothing !!! I detailed a quite a few older Mercedes with some "unique" color combinations (especially interiors).

BTW... This Mercedes had a leather interior, whick I really do not care for. Mercedes Benz vinyl is called "TEX" and is indestructible, and easier to clean. The TEX does not bleed whereas the leather must cleaned with care. If you get too aggresive with these older hides you will cause more harm than good.

Thanks for all the kind words. This car was a pleasure to detail.

Wow, electric fan on a `74 north-south engine...that was sure unusual back then. Looks like the front`s been repainted looking at the paint on the fan bracket.

Since you told me about the guy selling these cars I have been watching on Ebay for his cars. When I saw this one the other day I figured you must have detailed it. Did you also do the Q45? What does that green look like?

He has a lot of BMW`s and Mercedes but neither of them makes hardly any models that have enough head room for me.
