I picked up some QEW (Quick and Easy Wash) this week from a local RV dealer, and thought I would give it a try on my truck today. It snowed a few days ago, and the roads here have been an absolute mess. My truck was very dirty, so rinsed it at a coin-op wash using the pressure wash before QEWing.

I used the two bucket method of washing, and used 2 oz of QEW for 2 Gallons of wash water. I also put 1 oz of QEW into the rinse bucket.

It was about 0 celsius (27 F) in my garage, but sometimes if I didn`t wipe off the water fast enough it would freeze on. Overall this product was very good, and has very good cleaning ability. It should be used on a cleaner vehicle though, although it did do a good job for my dirty truck.

Here is a few before pictures to show how dirty the truck is:

Here`s some shots of how sloppy the roads have been lately:

Thanks. Check with you local RV dealer to see if they carry QEW. It is made by Protect All. I had mine ordered in about 3 days. Cost me 30 dollars canadian for 32 oz.

You can order it online from camping world also, or directly from Protect All.

does it prevent swirls when washing a car as dirty as the pictures posted above ???

I gave my truck a good rinse with High pressure, warm water at the car wash before I used QEW. There is debate whether QEW will introduce swirles into your finish. Most people agree that it is the techniques used to wash that introduce marring.

By using two buckets, one for wash, one for rinse, using soft sheep skin mits, using Waffle Weave MF towles to dry and only using QEW on moderatly dirty vehicles, marring of the paint will be very minimal. Either way, in the spring my truck is going to get a good 2 step polish just to clean up whatever this winter has put in the paint.
