    Howdy,

Just thought i`d share some pics of my VW Golf GTI DIESEL, She`s an 03 model pumping out 172bhp /282lb torque & gives at least 55mpg

    I clean her at least once a week & wax her no less than twice a month, the materials used for these pics were;

    Painted areas:

    Maguiars scratch-x

    Maguiars deep crystal polish

    Maguiars NXT Tech Wax

    P21S Cannuba

    Plastic & rubber:

    Maguiars Tech protectant

    Glass:

    Quick Detailer

I hope you like her, I do

bmxboy - It`s good to see a fellow autopian ( and VW diesel fan)so close. I`m in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. The Golf looks excellent and is a credit to your efforts. I`ve previously used meguiars products and been very pleased, but am now using a mixture of Klasse and 1Z which I sourced through Autopia. For information these products were ordered and arrived in the UK within 5 days.

I take it from the figures that the engine is not standard. What are the mods? and are you pleased with them. Also how do you find the "new" Road Angel.

I am loving your taste in cars. To a fellow dubber.

Question: How are you making 172bhp and 282lb/ft. I know they start with 100bhp and 177lb/ft. My only guess here is perhaps a Stage 3 Rocket chip? I want details...defenitely cool ride though, my bud and fellow autopian has an 04 TDI.

    Very nice...

I think in the summer, UK autopians should organise a meet.

Pass on tips, experiences and product recommendations etc.

    Sparky,

How bizzare to find a dubber so local on a usa website, you may see her Tescos carpark, whilst Im shopping, not sat in the corner like some .

What VW you driving then?? is it a mk4 ?

    You should check out

Yea I bought my stuff from autopia back in jan I think it was, you just couldnt get NXT localy, maguiars uk are a bit slack I think.

I`ve just received some pinnicle sourvan wax last week, blimey that stuff is awesome, such an amazing shine, well worth the £40 it cost:up

The RA2 is an a amazing bit of kit, & it matches the colour of the dials I had an RA1 before & thats was good too, & a snooper S5 before that but that was rubbish, unless you wanted to know were automatic shop door were:down

Breakneckvec: She came from the factory like that, shes a Pumpe Duse 150bhp version, but they tend to come with quite a bit more than their official figures. The only thing I changed was the pannel air filter to a piper-x, but that wont give any more than 2-4bhp extra.

m4xmw: you could be on to somthing there :xyxthumbs

bmxboy, nice job. We`ve got a couple of TDis, the Passat is chipped while my Bora has chip + injectors so my dyno numbers aren`t far from your own.

Out of curiosity, did you remove the sound deadening material from the underside of your bonnet?

I could be wrong but I thought they came stock 100bhp/177lb/ft

My bud has the 04 which is a pump duse version and thats his power output

I know the MKV gets a bump to the numbers you have listed, but its a 2.0TDI. You have an MKIV, what did I miss

Not bashing, just curious, I didnt think the UK versions got anything different than us and as far as I know the 150hp/282lb/ft version is the 2.0TDI that will come in the MKV.
