You don`t know what you are missing with Insulator Wax. If you like 476S(I do) than you will really like Insulator Wax. I have both and like both but Insulator Wax is much slicker and has more gloss. It`s also one of the most user freindly products I have used.

Just curious why you wouldn`t use a liquid wax?

Insulator wax is no ordinary wax. It was made to coat power lines and protect them. It will out last many of the sealants we use. It`s maintaining the just applied look and feel longer than anything else I have used. That includes my sealants Klasse SG, UPP, Megs #20, EX-P.

My wife has a 1995 Chevvy Astro Van. It gets a automatic car wash every week or two, It gets waxed with a cleaner wax every 3 months usually Meguiars or Mothers. About 6 weeks ago I applied a coat of Collinite IW # 845 and I was very impresed with the look, no prep other than a wash. Now , 6 weeks later, 5 automatic car washes, the van looks great and is almost as slick as when it was first done. It is slicker than my car which was done in Klasse AIO and Sg and never gets a automatic car wash, although my car still looks fantasic. Both cars sit outside 24/7. Their are no cleaners in Collinite #845 ,#476. The Guru Reports made a typo error. There is solvents in the two waxes but there are solvents in all waxes . when you apply 3 and 4 coats of wax on your car you do not have 3 or 4 coats of wax on your car . When the pores of the paint are filled with wax very little wax will stick on top. And with a lot of wax on your car you will notice a lot of micro - marring, because wax is softer than paint, and will show scratches easier than paint.

I used Insulator for the first time just before the snow started flying. I measured it out in drops for application and it speads forever. It is also very easy to take off and leaves an unbelievably slick finish. Unfortunately, I have been unable to post a real follow-up because my car had an arguement with a guardrail and has been in the body shop since mid-late December.

On my cars I used the 476s. Easy to work with if you use it correctly.

If you search it has been discussed, but I believe that Collinite reps recomend the 476s over the 915.
