First time for this combo for me. Extensive swirling from poor washing technique but otherwise, good condition. I have to say this combo is amazing with this color paint. Very rich yet clear at the same time. My pictures really don`t do it justice.

BTW, please forgive wheel wells. This was a freebie and had to be done in 2 hours (and I work slow :sosad)

Wash: NXT Wash (it`s growin` on me)

Clay: Mother`s CA Gold w/ supplied QD

    Swirl Removal: Poorboy`s SSR2

    Polish: WG polish

    Sealant: EX-P

    Tires: Poorboy`s BnB

    Trim: Poorboy`s BnB, Wax Blaster

    Glass: Z-12, EX-P

Nice and reflective whilte still showing it`s true color:

    Me...need learn...how to...focus:

SSR2 by hand worked great for me!

Did I say how much I love this combo on this paint?:

    Look ma, no swirls!:

Side note: This badge was funny as there were swirls *inside* the badge lines. Apparently, although the customer had bad washing/drying techniques, they were meticulous. BTW, it`s a pain to remove swirls inside badge lines... just thought I`d mention that.

Very nice job! Any reason for not going with the WG sealant? Is it theclarity of EX? Awesome job again!

A few reasons. First, I wanted to experiment. I hadn`t used this combo before and I had both. Second, I really like EX-P on metallic paints. It really lets the metallic flakes sparkle through. EX-P is very clear but not hyper-reflective like Zaino so it lets the true color of the paint shine through. Third, well, I just ran out of WG sealant. (sheepish grin)

Thanks, maecrispy! One last question if you could... On non metallic black, which do you find to be the better sealant? Just trying to figure it out here before I place an order. Seems like they are both winners and I may have to flip a coin.

On non-metallic black, for sealant`s, I love Wolfgang. WG`s about as deep a look as i`ve seen on a sealant (although I`ve never seen BF which others say is also good.) Pretty good durability too.

Another great look is VM under EX-P. VM is exceptionally clear (as is EX-P) so you end up with a `dipped in oil` look as some have described it.

If you want to use carnauba toppers instead, a good way to go is to AIO underneath P21s/s100 or Souveran. LS is expensive which is why I don`t normally use it unless the customer requests it (and is willing to pay for it )

Interesting combination. I have both products in my aresenal. Something else to try!

BTW, I have VM/Wolfgang on a black Pathfinder that I will be washing twice a month. I`m interested in seeing if using VM as a base affects WG`s durability.

I like EX-P myself and enjoy reading about all the polishes and glazes it covers. Will try WG cleaner sometime and see if it works for me. If you have used VM with EX-P how would you compare that to the nice job you did on the Accord? (Just in case...have you tried VM and WG sealant? I haven`t. Just wondering.) Thanks.

    Interesting you guys should ask!

I have used VM under WG sealant. The look is really nice. Here`s the thread where I posted the results on a black Honda Civic:

    http://www.autopia.org/forums/showth...threadid=38786

Hard to say about duarbility since it`s only been on the Civic for about 2 weeks. I just washed it a few days ago and it still looked good and beaded well but that`s too be expected. I`ll have to keep an eye on it.

As far as the difference in look between WG Polish/EX-P vs. VM/EX-P, I have done both these combos as well but on very different colors. The difference for me is that WG polish leaves the paint a little glossier and wetter looking while VM is very clear which is great for metallic flakes. EX-P then seals in the look with a very clear finish that doesn`t alter the look too much while adding some brightness and pop.

Hard to directly compare since I think the two combos are suited for different colors but here`s pics of the VM/EX-P on my own metallic silver TL. Ugly weather that day so pics aren`t great so take from it what you will.
