    I detailed my truck today. No surface prep was required. The truck was pretty much swirl free. I hit it with some Four Star Ultimate Paint Cleanser and the PC, then followed up with Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection.

    Nice. What did you use on the tires? They look like rubber is supposed to look.

    I use Meg`s Hot Shine Tire Spray...let them sit a few then buff off the excess.

    stupid question, but what did you use to buff out the excess without absorbing all the shine?

    I don’t particularly care for glossy tires. I let the product sit anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes and allow some of it to be absorbed by the tire. I then either swipe with a foam applicator or remove the excess with a Micro Fiber.
