Back in january when I bought this new truck I tried out UPP. I neglected to prep the paint thinking that it was new what could it need. Well I wasnt that impressed with it and put it on the bottom of the detailing rack to collect dust. Well after talking to a few people on here and on another forum I decided to give it another with proper prep this time. Well I must say I really can relate to the PREP IS EVERYTHING!!!

What I did was, wash, clay, wash, Menzerna IP, Menzerna FP and UPP

Here is a few pics after the Menzerna IP and FP

Here is 2 pics of it after the 3rd layer of UPP. Sorry about the poor quality of these but it was a very cloudy and overcast day.

I really like UPP, I just wish it set up more quickly.

Good observation. That summarizes it for all the details seen on here. We basically shouldn`t bother to wax our cars, based on what you said here.

C`mon, geez. Why do we have to slag everyone to make ourselves so important?

the newest version has a 15 minute dry time. from what i know the previous versions were 1 hour dry times. ive experienced excellent durability from version 3 UPP so far.

Actually, in most localities where humidity isn`t a problem, 30 minutes is usually enough. However, I`d love to get some of the new stuff. Unfortunately, I still have most of my gallon of version 2!

Looks good! UPP looks great on silvers and grays.

I`m still waiting on a couple of free days to do a full detail on my new Chevy. I`ll probably go with #80/UPP for the summer.

Thank you for sharing your efforts with everyone. The look is great and everyone on this board has very easly tought this detaining rook that PREP makes the last step product look gook.

Your picture of orange peel again furthered my education on what to look for in a finish to determine quality.

I am a version 2 UPP user with AIO and SG as the first layers but am going to try a car with just UPP soon.

Again thank you for the information

    Cheers,
