Scott (Bwana) and I detailied a 02 Yellow WRX Sedan on Saturday. Unfortunately, we both left our camera`s at home so there are no pics.

When I got home, I used my new Porter Cable (PC) on my MR2 finally.

I used Meguiars DACP followed by Meguiars NXT on it. I got out some of the scratches and fading, but some is still there.

Lastly, Michelle and I detailed a custom Cadillac CTS Burnt Orange WRX Show car.

I gotta say that the owner was one of the coolest and nicest guy`s I`ve met thru the Subaru site/club. A real class act with a sweet sweet car.

These pictures DO NOT do the car justice at all. It`s a sight to see in person.

I used DACP with an Orange Pad, followed by Meguiars Gold Class Wax on a white pad, followed by NXT with a Black pad.

The wheels, NOS bottle, and the misc painted bits of the motor compartment (including the inside of the hood and the inside of the trunk lid and gas cap) all got Gold Class applied by Hand.

I can`t wait to come back and upkeep this car (Thanks again Terry!) and I`m sure that his other car show buddies will be knocking om my door very soon.

<---I`m really sore and tired from the 200000000000% humidity out these last 2 days, makes detailing not fun.

I know what you mean on the MR2.

I still need to do a proper detail on the MR2. Dawn wash, clay and DACP it till it glows! Soon I`ll have the time for that.

    Both cars look great!!!!

However, that Rex is sooo unique. I absolutely love that color. A friend of mine has it on his custom shaved teg.

    Sorry to hijack

Once again...Excellent work on the details! How did the Rex do at the show?

    Sean,

The show is this coming weekend. I know that Import Tuner (IIRC) wants to shoot the car for an article, I`m sure I`ll get the call to prep it for that.

he wants me to come and wash/wax it once a month for him

    Jim,

Looks simply amazing! Process used on it? Mind if I come up to Wi to have you help me get mine glowing red like that?!

    Wow!

    Thanks, blue-sun.

I try to keep my MR2 in good condition. Aside from weekly washing with Gold Class (two bucket method) and a QD, my typical monthly routine is:

    1. Gold Class Wash (will be trying NXT Wash)

    2. Clay if needed

    3. MPPC with a PC

    4. #7 with a PC

    5. NXT Tech Wax. (Been using #26 in the past.) Tried NXT now and I like the results. Last waxed on 4/21/04 with NXT and I decided to let it go a couple more weeks to see how long NXT will protect.

    what`s MPPC?

    My MR2

so far gets a wash a week (at the coin op, so the bucket method happens only when I really have time and there`s no line there.

It got AIO, NXT, S100 x2, 1Z Glanz and S100 in the past 2 months since owning it, and the top half got a QD clean, DACP (x2 on the hood) and NXT.

I didn`t have the time to clay it, which will be my next project. Dawn wash, clay, gold class wash, DACP then I don`t know if AIO and NXT? or Gold Class wax? 26? 1Z again? get some non-clear Zaino and use that?

We`ll see. Hopefully by then I`ll have my beater/rain/snow car and the MR2 will not see rain anymore. . .

kg/cm2 I LOVE my PC. I compare it to the first time I saw a DVD after watching VHS for a long time, my eyes have opened and the other is just not as good as the new.

I`ve barely begun my PC adventures. Soon will come a very, very neglected black buick skylark that belongs to a good friend of mine. can`t wait!
