I`ve got Photoshop 7, found it at a garage sale for cheap! Now, hwo do I get started? I have no idea how to do anything on this, except install it. Which is done.

Any quick tips on logo design and such?

    Thanks for the help

Photoshop should have a tutorial disk and manual that comes with it. Going through this should give you some basic knowledge of how to use it. If you`re missing it, then just dive in and have a play, you`ll soon pick up the basics.

Or failing that, you could do the unthinkable and read the manual... I`ve still not got round to reading it after being a user for nearly 15 years!

Thanks for the sites. Like I said, I got it used and it only had the disk and codes for install. It`s really not that hard (after 6 hours of playing), just lots of crap to play with.......

you should probably get a book of some sort. photoshop is an incredibly deep program that will be wasted if you don`t learn the tools one by one. if you want to do logo design, however, i`d recommend a vector program like illustrator.

If your main interest in Photoshop is for working on digital photographs, I can recommend "The Photoshop Elements Book for Digital Photographers" by Scott Kelby.

While Photoshop and Photoshop Elements are two different programs, they are much more alike than thery are different, especially if you are not dealing with cmyk and prepress work.

The book is excellent and offers step-by-step walk-throughs for most digital photography.
