This SL500 was getting new tires when they had a fire at the tire shop. They had the windows roll down and the interior was black with smoke, took a good 8 hours to detail.

:eek How did you get the Mercedes interior clean? I`ve yet to deal with smoke damage (not sure I really want to anyway!).

    wash me,

great job on the cars. How did you find Diamond Cut? Pc or Rotary? Did you find that it leaves a different finish from other heavy compounds?

I too agree that DACP and Diamond cut make a great Prep Stage Combo.

There a paint supply store that carrys Diamond Cut here. I used a PC with the purple pad, sometine I used a wool pad. I think most compounds are the same but I like how Diamond Cut brakes down and leaves a nice shine.

There a product I use call Power Plus that I use to clean the interior. I pour about 8oz into a bucket then fill with hot water and went to work. I think it took about 5 buckets of the Power Plus to clean the interior. Once I got it clean I use ozone to get rid of the smoke smell.
