Yeah yeah yeah...I own an Explorer but I detailed my girlfriend`s Civic. It took me 7 hours the first day to get rid of all the crap that was on the paint and stuff. Here`re the things I did:

    Wash

    Clay

    SMR

    AIO

    SG x 4

Here`re the pics after the detail:

    That`s the roof.

I have detailed the wheel wells with Armor All since I had some left in the garage from years ago after the pics were taken. My girlfriend was appreciated but not as much as I expected. Oh well...at least I love doing stuff like this.

Nice job. I would also do the wheel wells too cause the dirt in them seems to stand out. But besides that, good deal.

Up onto jack stands, pull the wheels, A little Castrol Super clean and a soft brush in the wheel wells. Rinse really well. Super clean again if you still see evidence of dirt. Then rinse again - twice. Let/wipe to dry and hit `em with Meg`s EK. Hang the wheels and you`ll be set -

    - until you hit the next road constructions site. After the EK set/dries or whatever it does, just a strong hosing should clean the wheel wells up. Repeat every six months.

Thanks for the advise. I did the dressing after taking the pics. I only used car soap and brush to clean the wheel wells and used Armor All to dress it up. I`ll try that again next time her car comes to my house.

Yeah, I know. But oh well...I made sure not to let that touch the paint so that`s good, I guess.

:nono It was reformulated a while back and is now an excellent product.

Are they still very shiny when applied?? I`m asking b/c the one I used on my girlfriend`s car was a few years old...that`s when I know absolutely nothing about car detailing...along with using a dirty rag to dry the paint, laying on the hood of my 5.9Limited with my ex-girlfriend on a starry night, etc... Ah...memories...painful at that. Haha...
