Well to make a long story shortâ€â€. When I got the TB home and under the lights I can see that the paint is not in to good of shape, Looks like white specks of paint all over the hood and down one side. Not good, I jump on the phone and call the owner and tell him I can remove them and it is going to take some time and custom rate is little less then $40 an hour. He says “do what every it takes to make it rightâ€â€ So off I go with the clay bars and Z6 Mix, in a about 2 hours I had all the specks off the car, as I was claying I notice that the passenger side wheel wells have a good spray of the white paint in them as well, I cleaned them the best I could and then went on to finish the paint. AIO, then a coat of Z5/ZFX. Needless to say after this the paint looked really good. I was surprised! By the time I was done (7 hours) with the whole car It had just started to sprinkle. Off I went to take the car back to his house. I parked it in the garage and turned on the lights and sprayed her down with Z6 and wiped her down, she looked sweet! I was happy.. Then I got the call from the owner and he was just as happy. Just another day at the Garage, Back to work at my full time job tomorrowâ€.. Pics on there way..

Awesome work. 7 hours for just exterior? or the whole inside and out?

Those tough ones come around ever so often, but when you make them right, its great!

Hey SRL, you were right about it being a PITA to do the inside of the car because it is so *^*^ small!

    Excellent!

I`m guessing the owner must have driven over fresh paint stripes on the road. I know that is among the worst overspray to get off paint, so I can appreciate how much work you put into just claying that T-Bird.

BTW, what do you think of the new T-Bird? I haven`t detailed one yet (although I have detailed a `55), so other than seeing one at the autoshow, I know little about them. Any particular areas of the car (inside or out) that concern you?

Scott, I really liked the car! It was a little smallish. The paint seemed real good. not like other Ford paint I have detailed.. It had a V8 and feels like a sports car. I really did`nt like them untill I drove this one. I give it an all around 8 out of ten 10

I figured it would be. That interior is a back breaker. Get Carmin to help, then you can have an employee.
