    1986 Ferrari Testarossa, 2nd one!

    1986 Ferrari Testarossa
    Rosso Corsa/Black
    Monospecchio/Flying mirror
    29K miles
    4.9 Liter flat 12
    390HP
    180mph Top speed

Client has this vehicle up for sale and was also looking to take it to our local Cars&Coffee, Cars&Coffee239. Wanted a `quick` cleanup. Nice example, clean, original, honest car. Single stage paint was a treat to work with!

    The ‘details’:

    McKee’s37 N914 waterless wash.
Medium clay bar/Dodo born slippery lube.
    Defelsko PTG’s/Scangrip lighting.
Hercules FR polisher (first hiccup with this machine-power cable appears to be either broken/or coming loose-I need to open it up to see what’s going on and perhaps get another one under warranty hopefully)
    LC pads.
    Rupes UNO one step.
    Adam’s glass cleaner.
    Adam’s graphene tire dressing.
    Metro vacuum.
    Adam’s quick interior detailer.

Nice! It`s about time you get a car that`s not on life support,(detailing-wise). Thanks.

    Sizzle Chest:
How many pads do you go through polishing this Ferrari with Rupe`s UNO?
I wonder why you say single-stage paint is a pleasure for you to work on; looks like a red mess to me.
I assume this IS the original factory paint of the vehicle, seeing how so few miles are on it for its age.
Paint looks fantastic after your magical touch, though.

PLEASE keep us informed on the Hercule`s Forced Rotation Polisher power cord status and what you find out:
    1) Replace or fix the cord OR
    2) Replace the whole polisher, either by:
    a) Warranty at Harbor Freight
    b) You just buy a new one
One question I have about your HF-Hercule`s machine is how many hours of use do you estimate you have on it? Just curious.

Whether or not YOU are satisfied with the results of this detail is immaterial because you gave the customer exactly what they asked (and paid) for. I guess it`s "good enough" for the client/owner and sub-sequentially for the next owner, especially if this current owner plans on selling it. Who knows; it may return to you for more "extensive detailing" by the next owner.

I was going to make a snide comment about seeing a reflection of Don Johnson from Miami Vice in the red paint (actually it would be you, since you two are twin look-a-likes,(forget the hair)!), but I think the Testarossa originally used in the show was white.

What was the decision behind using Uno for this car? Just because of the single stage? Soft pad, and a product that provides some polishing and protection?

lonnie: didnt count, but at least 1 per panel. SS paint is messy, looked like a murder scene, lol, but so nice to work with-it responds well to correction. yes, factory paint going by my readings, one panel may have been blended.

i wish we were look alikes, haha

i will, ive used it almost exclusively after purchasing it.

poison: italian car/italian product!! i kid, i`ve used it before on SS paint with good results, and was only doing a 1 step correction

Hey brother, nice work, but those pads look horrible (good thing you are a `doctor`)!

A couple of product questions (almost ready to reorder a few supplies):
    • how do you like the N914 vs. Adam`s Rinseless
    • how does the Adam`s Graphene dressing compare to VRT?

Oh, and `Hi` to Mrs. Sizzle.

Very Nice!!! It turned out sweet!
SS is a pleasure and a pad nightmare.

    JS- i trash them

    thanks Merl!!

Mike: lol, thanks bro! i like the 37, works the same as adams, i happen to think 37 `wipes cleaner/less streaking`. Grapg dressing lasts longer IMO, and is super easy to apply-liquid vs gel. I let her know! hope all is well!!
