This truck was in bad shape and needed an "Extreme Makeover".
Swirl marks and a "foggy haze" covered the entire paintwork.

Have you been using Koch-Chemie Gentle Snow Foam (KC-GSF) for some time now? I ask because I have not seen it as one of the prep-wash soaps in your past details.
Did it replaced or maybe supplanted the Poor Boys World Super Slick and Foam when mixed with the CarPro IronX Snow Foam for a prep-wash?
Any thoughts on the KC-GSF??

I cannot imagine how much time and effort it takes to do a truck of that size, but the results in the pics speak for themselves.
Did this particular Toyota Black paint (actually the clear coat) present any "problems"; like was it soft or hard?
AND, what do you use on the chrome bumpers and running board/step tube? Just curious...

This was my first time using KC-GSF. It is expensive compared to most products on the market.
I will say that I felt is was concentrated, and took very little compared to other foam cannon soaps.
Many automotive soaps you are paying for water, and the shipping of the water, so it`s a balance.
It worked well combined with CarPro IronX Snow Foam for a prep wash.

It actually took more time to do this truck that I has scheduled but it turned out sweet.
Yes, the paint was pretty swirled up and it was very thin. 85 microns in most places.
I don`t know how I would have tackled this job without a good quality Paint Thickness Gauge.

The chrome bumpers (as well as the right hand side of the truck) had some kind of stubborn film on it.
This may have been bad water sprinklers, or some such thing it was pretty ugly to remove.
It took a fine polish and a fine polishing pad to get that "film" off of the chrome parts (metal & plastic).
I did not do the running boards He stated to me he was going to replace them with retractable ones.
