    2012 Porsche Boxster Black Edition

2012 Porsche Boxster S Black Edition
    Number 585 out of 987
    58,866 miles
    Black/Black/Black

Client brought in their Boxster for some correction and protection. Vehicle was covered in swirls, water spots and a few heavier scratches. It also had a noticeable `line` from where PPF had been removed across the hood and front fenders. The paint was dull/hazy.

    The ‘details’:
    Adam’s shampoo/tire rubber cleaner/wheel cleaner/iron remover.
    Medium clay mitt.
    McKee’s37 Hydro Blue.
    Master Blaster to dry.
    DeFelkso PTG.
    Scangrip lighting.
    Flex Beast/C beast, Rupes iBrid.
    Griot’s FCC and PC.
    LC pads.
    Adam’s Advanced Graphene Ceramic Coating.
    GYEON Tire.
    Auto finesse glass cleaner.
    Metro vacuum.
    McKee’s37 APC.
    Beta test graphene interior cleaner/detailer/protectant.

    Thanks for looking!

Nice!!. That`s what my new-to-me BMW`s paint looked like - swirls and water etchings. It took a LONG time to whip it into shape, in some cases having to triple-step it, and on the trunk, wet sanding, just to get the water etchings out.
5.9 mils is nice and thick so you had some room to work. My car was 4.4 avg.

    Sizzle Chest:
You are definitely the right person for this car.
    1) What are those white specks/dots that almost look like "dandruff" on the paint? Road paint or building exterior paint over-spray specks?
    2) Did you use the McKee`s37 APC to clean the interior materials, including the leather?
    3) Are you using the beta-test interior graphene CDP (another new acronym for the Forum Decoder Ring,Cleaner/Detailer/Protectant, not Continuous Data Protection) on all interior materials, including the leather??
    4) Do you have to use a lot more in number or different LC pad type(s) to correct a black paint (actually Porsche`s Ceramic Clear Coat?) with this hardness and numerous/deep imperfections/swirls than a "normal" correction, which obviously translates into more time?? (Hey, they do not call me Captain Obvious for nothin`!!..)
    5) Was it a customer choice OR your suggestion to use Adam`s Pro Graphene Coating over your "usual" 22ple Mistico Elemento Forte AND is this Pro version of Adam`s Graphene coating different than the Advanced version OR is this just an update in the formulation and name by Adam`s??
(ONLY a Captain Obvious observation and question!!)

Do any of your coating offerings require Infra-Red lamp curing? I do not think I have ever seen IR-lamp pics in any of your details.
(Yah, I `ve been looking at Merlin`s posted details & pics alot, so now you know the source of my question)

Thanks for posting. Another "Darth Vader" vehicle done to perfection!
(Is it me or does it seem like ALL the black Porsches in Southwest Florida are on a "religious journey" to Autodermatology, the "religious center" of detailing Porsche perfection?? I`d use "other religious" analogies/allegories, but I did not want to offend any Muslims. Sorry!)

    2) Did you use the McKee`s37 APC to clean the interior materials, including the leather? I used it on some tougher areas both inside and outside
    3) Are you using the beta-test interior graphene CDP (another new acronym for the Forum Decoder Ring,Cleaner/Detailer/Protectant, not Continuous Data Protection) on all interior materials, including the leather?? Yes, it can be used on anything. This was not natural leather, it was coated.

(Hey, they do not call me Captain Obvious for nothin`!!..) I average about one pad per panel. Paint was not terribly hard.

(ONLY a Captain Obvious observation and question!!) My decision based on use of the vehicle/storage venue (inside/outside/etc)cost/etc. My bad, it was the Advanced. (edited post)

(Yah, I `ve been looking at Merlin`s posted details & pics alot, so now you know the source of my question) None of the coating I use or know of, `require` IR curing. It helps the coating cure faster is all. And yes, I have IR lights and will use them on occasion.

Car looks amazing now. lets see if the owner tries to keep it as good as you gave it back to them.

Re: 2012 Porsche Boxster Black Edition

Were you able to remove the line from the PPF easily, or was that something you had to polish out? I`m dreading the thought of having the old style PPF that`s on the front half of my hood removed. I know there`s going to be a line of build up there.

^^^ I was able to compound/polish it out. Only a very, very faint shadow remains. I was lucky on this one!
