Beautiful results on a beautiful car.

Interesting to see M101 being used. Seems like most move on to newer compounds.

Would you please go into more detail on this? Like, do you Iron X foam, rinse, SSS, rinse, foam, rinse?

IMHO Every car/paint is different and responds to different pads/compounds.
In this case, I tried many different combinations and M101 corrected the best.

I do the wheels first. I like the results of TUGA Devil Special Wheel Cleaner.
I use multiple brushes with a Detailing Outlaws Buckanizer to get inside the wheels.

    * CarPro IronX Snow Soap / Poorboys Super Slick & Foam Pre Wash Snow Foam
This is a combo I came up with. I mix the two to obtain the results I like.
    1) The IronX Snow Soap foam prewash gives me a prewash foam for minor decon.
    2) The Poorboys Pre-Wash Snow Foam gives me a thicker foam and a longer cling.

Then (depending on the vehicle) I use IronX spray then rinse, then mechanical decon.
As a general rule, I use the Nanoskin (FINE GRADE) with a diluted Carpro Immolube spray.

Then I do a two bucket wash to make sure any residual chemicals/particles are removed.
I follow this with a mild pressure washer rinse, then dry with Metro Air Force Master Blaster.

Yes, this is lengthy but it is not a maintenance wash it is a prep wash before paint correction.

    That is very kind.

Interestingly enough, Ron (you are missed) labeled the palm tree pics "The Merlin Shot" and it kinda stuck.

    Merlin:
Beautiful detailing workmanship on this dark blue metallic Porsche.

Thank you for the in-depth decon process explanation. It really clarifies some questions/concerns of the exact details to your process.

I, like others, was surprised to see Meg`s M101 Foam Cut Compound being used. BUT, you have the experience and know-how of what works and what does not. My question is:
Does using M101 necessitate the use of Meg`s M210 polish to "keep it in the family" and avoid any possible incompatibility issues with other manufacturer`s polishes, OR is this just another "from my experience, M210 just plain works well on this particular Porsche paint"?

Lastly, an obscure observation only Captain Obvious would make:
I noticed in one of the photos your left hand pinky finger was duct taped on the end. I assume you made due with the "first-aid kit" close at hand.
Don`t laugh: I`ve used super glue to glue shut larger, deeper cuts to prevent them from bleeding through bandages so I could keep working while detailing a vehicle. (Yes, I am a klutz at times, but if you detail long enough, accidental cuts will happen reaching into areas ONLY detailers will ever touch) It works. In fact, some medical procedures no longer use sutures/stitches to close cuts but use medical-grade super glue ( cyanoacrylate adhesives — also called skin glue or surgical glue) because it mitigates scarring and promotes faster healing. One word of caution if you use this trick at home: LET THE ADHESIVE DRY OR CURE FIRST BEFORE PUTTING ON THE BANDAGE, usually about 5 minutes. I know, it sounds common sense, but sometimes my Redneck medical first aid methods do not follow "proper medical procedures" and obviously, trying to remove a bandage that is glued to damaged skin cuts can have not-so-good results.

Actually, if you look very close that is not duct tape but it is the lug nut brush.
However, I will remember what you said about “super glue”.

    Merlin:
My bad about an incorrect observation your left-hand pinky finger. I now see it the pinky is bent down and the "duct tape" is actually a spoke of the rim, but my first glance was that the pinky was duct-taped for some reason. Yes, I also see the lug-nut brush in said left hand.
Are you left handed or highly ambidextrous?? (Kind of a moot question, Captain Obvious; Aren`t ALL good detailers ambidextrous out of necessity?)
