Sizzle Chest:
I assume the paint is clear-coated from that era/year of Porsche or you would have shown the buffing pads with the paint residue if it was single stage.

How do you clean the engine compartment and what do you use on it?

I also assume you use CarPro PERL on the black exterior trim including the rear hatch engine hood vent.

I had to laugh a little about the Michelin Defender tires until I realized that certain tire sizes for older Porsches are becoming harder and harder to find or when you do, they are prohibitively expensive to buy. Until someone owns a Porsche or similar older sports car, they cannot understand this dilemma. Sometimes you do what you can afford.

AND, with interiors, I do not think I have ever seen you say that you shampooed a carpet or floor mat, only vacuumed, with of course, your signature vacuum stripping. Just an observation...
Do you own a steamer or extractor for carpet and fabric cleaning?? Cannot remember ever seeing such equipment listed.
(If you want to know WHY you need such equipment, reference this epic thread: https://www.autopia.org/forums/click...ighlight=chili) It would be "interesting" to see some Porsche owner bring their vehicle to you with this detailing nightmare, then I would cry!!!!!!!!!!!

As usual, excellent detailing work and photography. VERY nice example of a Porsche from that era and love the "baby blue" hue color.
(Now that I know your header text color is representative of the vehicle color! )

Lonnie: Yes, base/clear on this. The factory cleared their metallic paints, some of their base colors, but usually those are single stage.

Engine: some APC and some rags, it was pretty clean upon arrival.

I have a steamer if necessary. I am pretty lucky that the vast majority of the vehicles I run across do not have interior issues.

Yep, tire choices can be limited for `older` vehicles with `old school` sized tires.

I did one similar, with a partial respray. I got it to match up pretty darn nice. Neat cars to work on.

The downside, is all that "classic" rubber requires (for me, at least) a ton of masking.
